Redditor posted the debacle to the social media platform.

She said that the mortifying moment is one of her mother's favorite stories to tell, writing it second-hand for readers on Reddit.

"[My mom] got married in 1989 and worked for a newspaper at the time," she said.

"She was good friends with her coworkers and they were throwing her bachelorette party.

"They’d all been covering a golf tournament earlier that day and I guess there had been some talk about the party that night, which their boss overheard.

"He was apparently a raging alcoholic and was already pretty sauced by the end of the day so judgment was presumably badly impaired," she added.

The Redditor's mother and her friends showed up at the bar, where they hired a male stripper to dance for them in the spirit of a true bachelorette party.

"[The male stripper] finishes dancing and the girls are like 'aw don’t go, just one more,' you know, joking around," she said.

"Well all of a sudden, they hear: 'Have no fear, Adonis is here' and their boss jumps out of the corner and begins to dance and take off his clothes," she added.

The mother and her friends ran to the bathroom out of fear of the uncomfortable situation.

"When they eventually come back out, the boss is completely passed out in a booth in his underwear," she said.

"They call his wife and tell her that she needs to come get her husband at the bar, and then run away to the next spot," she added.

When the ladies returned to work on Monday morning, the boss acted as if nothing out of the ordinary had occured.

"My mom doesn’t think he even remembered any of it," she wrote. "Which honestly is probably for the best."

The story drew in many opinions from fellow Redditors, with one writing: "Oh, he remembered. It was better to leave everything unsaid."

"Acknowledging it definitely would’ve made it so much more awkward lol," Colorfullycaroline replied.
