Naturium, from £10.50, : You’d be forgiven for thinking that there were already more than enough budget skincare options available after the rise of brands like The Ordinary and The Inkey List, but the launch of Naturium at the start of the year proved there’s always space for a stellar brand.

With unassuming packaging but highly sophisticated formulas, it far outperforms some of my old favourites which cost over three times the price.

I’d happily use a whole routine of just Naturium, which isn’t something I can say for most brands, but my number one product has to be Naturium Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus zinc 2%, £18 which I’ve used all year.

Mid-range

Merit, from £22, : I first got my hands on a selection of the hard-working, minimal make-up products around six months before Merit launched in the UK in February.

Those six months felt like an age, as I loved everything I tried from first use and wanted to share my delight.

In the ten months since, I’ve become a die-hard fan of covers-all The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick, £40, and super-pigmented Flush Balm Cheek Color, £32.

If you’re after chic, fuss-free products that deliver, you can’t go wrong.

Luxury

Ulé, from £34, : The most groundbreaking brand of the year, Ulé are harnessing the power of vertical farming to create natural products with maximum skincare benefits and minimum environmental impact.

All the ingredients used in the products are fully traceable and sourced locally, covering a maximum of 350km from seed to bottle.

Envie De Calm Restoring Soothing Serum, £80, is my pick of the bunch, and has helped reduce my breakouts without drying out my skin or causing any discomfort.

THIS time of year is usually no man’s land when it comes to new launches, as everyone’s either skint or spending the money they do have at the sales, but TikTok faves Sol De Janeiro are bucking the trend and this week launched a brand new, mood-boosting scent in their cult body spray and body butter named Delicia Drench, £22 each.

With notes of vanilla, sandalwood and violet, it’s instantly warming and comforting.
