Sainsbury’s salmon is ‘mistakenly’ reduced to just £2 – but you’ll need to be fast as shoppers are stocking up
BARGAIN hunters are scrambling to get to their nearest Sainsbury’s, desperate to get their hands on salmon that has been massively reduced.
So if you’re a fan of fish and fancy treating yourself to a tasty Scottish salmon side, but without the hefty price tag, you’ll need to listen up.
Savvy shoppers were left totally stunned when they realised that the Taste the Difference boneless salmon, which comes dressed with spiced orange and honey glaze, and garnished with orange slices, was reduced down from £17.50 to only £2 - yes, you heard that correctly.
Many Sainsbury’s fans were so impressed with the discount, that they have stocked up their fridges, with one shopper nabbing six packs of the stuff.
Thrilled with the discounted find, which shows up as just £2 when you scan your Nectar card at the till, many social media users took to Facebook to show off their bargain buys.
Posting on , a private group with a staggering 2.3 million members, one shopper named Eliina Baltushone showed off her epic haul.

She spent just £12 in total and saved £93 on six packs of the luxury fish.
Beaming with her cheap buys, Eliina wrote: “Woow only £2, saving £93.”
She then confirmed: “It’s for two families.”
But Eliina isn’t the only one who managed to nab the reduced salmon.

Convinced the reduction was a mistake, the Sainsbury’s shopper shared their receipt, which proved that you must have a Nectar card to get the deal.
The anonymous member then penned: “Jumping on the £17.50 salmon mistakenly priced at £2.00 too.
“Found in Wolverhampton Sainsburys!”
Meanwhile, , as they confirmed: “They really did scan at £2 each.
“I think this is definitely a mistake! Chafford Hundred Sainsbury’s.”
Social media users were stunned at the epic reduction and many took to the comments to express this.
One person said: “What a bargain.”
Another added: “Great buy!!”
A third commented: “Wow that was good.”
At the same time, many other shoppers claimed that they too managed to get their hands on the cut-price salmon.
One user penned: “I got one at mine, [it] wasn’t reduced on [the] shelf but when scanned they are £2.”
