My ‘Botox and makeup’ trick is the best for reviving stale bread – I don’t like to let it go to waste
SOMETIMES all you need is a little pizzazz, said one experienced chef.
The cook whipped up homemade croutons with some stale bread and a little creativity.
Amanda () shared her recipe with over 420,000 TikTok followers.
She banged some leftover stale bread on her counter, explaining that she had no plans to toss the food away.
"Croutons are just bread with a little botox and makeup," she said.
Instead, she planned on making croutons with it, starting with chopping the bread up into smaller pieces.
After cubing the bread to the best of her ability, she tossed the bread in olive oil and seasonings of her choice, then threw them into the air fryer.
She air-fried the bread at 400 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes: "Look how golden, the croutons are crouton-ing," she joked.
For those who like their croutons with a little extra flavor, Amanda even offered an additional tip.
"You could totally add Parmesan cheese or herbs for even more flavor," she said.
