AN INFLUENCER showcased how five years of patience and dedication to her glow-up has made her look unrecognisable.
Erin Killeen used to avoid wearing bikinis and tight clothes, but “got tired of hating herself” six years ago.
She decided to glow-up, opting to lose weight and focus on repairing her mental health, and shed nearly five stone in the process.
Now, the 25-year-old inspires other women to glow-up - but warns them that for the best results, you have to be patient.
Erin now has killer abs and has grown a “bubble butt” through weight lifting and targeted glute exercises.
Her transformation videos on social media have seen her tot up over one million followers on TikTok and just under 600k on Instagram.
In a recent video, she shared pictures of her old self and said: “I gutted that b***h from the inside out”.
Fans were quick to point out that they “didn’t even recognise her” and “would never have thought that’s the same person”.
The influencer from Colorado, US has been candid about being “miserable” and “hating herself” when she wasn’t taking care of her body.
She decided to turn weightloss into a lifestyle change - rather than trying quick-fix diets - in 2017 and hasn’t looked back since.
However, having such a large following doesn’t come without trolls.
A common insult Erin gets is people saying her body looks “too masculine” or “male”.
“I’m not sure what it is with fake profiles, fragile masculinity & appearance shaming — but as a society, we have gotten too comfortable,” she said in a clapback video.
“Just because you have a thought, doesn’t mean you need to speak it or type it.
“Some things can be kept to yourself.”
Erin has also struggled with loose skin and stretch marks after shedding the pounds - but she says she no longer lets this bother her.
“I used to be SO wrapped up in the imperfections of my body,” she said on Instagram.
“I would focus on the loose skin in my arms, the jiggle of my legs, my stomach not looking how I want and having stretch marks all over, etc.”
Back in April this year, Erin launched a gym for fellow weight lifters with state of the art equipment.
She wants to empower other women to become the happiest and strongest versions of themselves.
