ONCE Christmas is over and we start to take down the fairy lights, the dark nights and cold days can feel a little depressing. So thank goodness for the sales!
They’re the perfect pick-me-up when the festivities have ended.
As fashion editors, it's our job to be good at shopping (it's a hard life, we know!) and, luckily for you, we know our stuff when it comes to sales shopping, especially.
We know what to buy now for later, what will never date, and what's really worth your hard-earned cash.
And sales are the best way to get the most for your money. Just like you, we can’t resist a bargain either.
When designer brands' sky-high price tags seem out of reach, post-Christmas sales are a great time to shop with stores you wouldn’t usually be able to afford.
Here, the Fabulous Fashion team reveals what's at the top of their sales wish list.

When I’m sales shopping, I like to think ahead about what I’ll need, and what I’ll wear most.
I live in blazers all year round, but my lighter-coloured ones have seen better days, so this 16 Arlington number is perfect.
Plus, white is going to a be a big trend next year, so this jacket ticks so many boxes.

I’m also in desperate need of a new bag. I'm finally feeling brave enough to step away from my usual black, and I’d love a brown or tan crossbody bag for every occasion - just like this A.P.C style.
Next year, I’ve got a wedding, christenings and the races already in my calendar, and this green dress from Gabriela Hearst will work for all occasions. Sorted!

- Bag, was £350, now £210, Eugenia Kim at Net-A-Porter -
- Boots, were £1,325, now £662.50, Jimmy Choo at Harrods -
For me, the sales are the perfect time to get those all-important investment pieces for a discount.
If I could own everything Ganni sells, I would! But while for most of the year it can be a little out of my price range, its winter sale means that T-shirts are £57. I also love the collaboration between the brand and Barbour, so this coat is going straight in my basket.
Sunglasses are always great to buy in the sales, especially a pair you know you’ll get wear out of for years to come.
Other things on my wish list include these super-wearableMarni wide-leg trousers and the pretty ruffle Zimmerman jumper. Plus how cute is this straw bow bag for summer?
I’m all about thinking ahead for future seasons and now is the perfect time to do so!

I am all about designer bargains, and although I do enjoy visiting an outlet village, at Christmas time you can’t beat a seasonal promotion. And the best thing is I can skip the queues and check out from the comfort of my sofa.
I’ve bought a couple of sweater vests recently as I think they're great layering pieces. This yellow Ganni one comes in multiple colours - and I'd buy them all if I could!
It looks like the silver trouser trend is going to last well into next year, so I’ve decided it is probably worth investing in a quality pair from Isabel Marant. The contrast stitching and pockets make these extra special.
I’ve been after a new pair of trainers for my weekly bootcamp session for a while. I’ve discovered that New Balance creates some really fun colourways for its USA collections - these are super-hard to get hold of in the UK but Net-A-Porter has started stocking them without the major import taxes - with a seasonal promotion too. Win win!

I do love designer brands, but often just can’t justify the price tag, especially when there are so many good dupes on the high street. So when the Christmas sales kick in and prices come down, I decide it's time to spoil myself a little!
Like Abby and Tracey, I'm a big Ganni fan. I have wanted this bag since the day it was released - and I'm finally going to take the plunge! The brand really knows how to do leopard print properly.
I am also totally obsessed with Sleeper pyjama sets and am really impressed by the discounts running across these right now. I'd even dress these up as daytime separates.

I'm enjoying pink and red as a combo right now, and Fiorucci has some great everyday pieces at (sales) prices I can afford. Meanwhile, this jumper from Kenzo really caught my eye - it looks really cosy for the colder months and will definitely brighten a dull January day!
