The PTA gets the weirdest things donated for the school Christmas tombola – someone even tried to give us used knickers
IT'S a Christmas staple in the school calendar.
But one woman on the PTA at her local school has revealed some of the weirdest things she's received as donations for the tombola - including someone's used knickers.
"As a PTA member you should see some of the things we get given, used knickers once!" one wrote.
"I run my school's PTA - we've received half a bottle of bubble bath, an empty bottle of shampoo and once a half empty jar of tartare sauce," another laughed.
"I ran my sons schools PTA and you'd laugh at some of the items that gets brought in. We had loo roll one year," a third admitted.

"Used to chair the pta, asked parents for bottles for the bottle tombola, received shampoo," someone else said.
"Cried laughing! learned to be specific in requests!"
"Someone donated an EMPTY bottle of wine to our schools bottle tombola," another giggled.
"Oh and ketchup!"
"Someone once donated a jar of Vaseline with a finger scoop missing from it," someone else wrote.
While others recalled the bizarre things they themselves had won in school raffles or tombolas.
"I won a horse riding lesson on the raffle- I've just had a double hip replacement," one said.
"I got the conditioner from a box hair dye - just the conditioner," another laughed.
"I won a plaster!" a third admitted.
"I remember spending £10 on the school tombola and winning a single pack of pocket tissues," someone else recalled.
"I once won a bottle of talc that had been half used!" another wrote.
"My sister won a pack of plastic forks," someone else said.
While another laughed: "I remember my ma winning a random jar of uncle Ben's sauce at one.
"I thought she was gonna wreck the place!"
But not all the prizes are duds.
"I won a air fryer!! I was the envy of the playground," one boasted.
"I won prada perfume at my school tombola," another said.
"At my brother's I got a pixi skincare set, a papaya garnier hair food and a cadburys favourites selection box for a fiver!" a third commented.
"My daughter's primary school did a chocolate and bottle tombola. prizes were great, came home with 3 bottles of wine one year," someone else recalled.
As another wrote: "I’d normally agree but I won a John Lewis hamper at the kids Xmas raffle this year.
"Had a £40 bottle gin and loads of goodies!"
