Shoppers rejoice as a chocolate favourite returns to shelves, but some call the new price ‘daylight robbery’

And people were quick to comment on the video, with the price of the Mini Eggs bag causing a furore in the group.

"Sorry, £12?" one person wrote.

"£12 bl**dy hell that’s expensive," another added.

"I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it. It's ridiculous," a third agreed.

"Love them but at £12 they can keep them," someone else commented.

"Wow that's well expensive, I know it's chocolate, I know I love mini eggs, but I won't pay that," another insisted.

"Egg-stortion," someone else joked, insisting: "Won't be paying that!"

"There's more chance of me laying my own mini eggs than spending £12 on a bag of them," another raged.

But others were more incensed at just how early the Mini Eggs had returned to shops.

"This is so wrong," one wrote.

"It's not even Christmas yet!"

"Forget the price, we've not even had Christmas yet and they are already bringing out Easter stuff," another sighed.

"Well, they did have Christmas decorations in shops in July," a third pointed out.

"So why not Easter in November?"

And there were even some people who were so excited about the return of the chocolates that they added them to their Christmas list.

Others went on to defend the price, insisting it's good for that size a bag.

"It's a 1kg bag, the equivalent of 13x little bags and they are usually 1.50 each," one wrote.

"Works out at £1.20 per 100g which is cheaper than most chocolate per 100 g these days," another agreed.
