Mouthwatering air fryer sausage and mash pie is perfect for cold winter nights and takes less than 10 mins to prepare

THE weather is getting chillier and many people will be craving having a warm, comforting evening meal.

One foodie has revealed how they’ve discovered the perfect sausage and mash pie recipe that they can whip up in their air fryer.

, they shared the simple way to make the dish using just a few ingredients.

Firstly you need to add six to eight sliced sausages to your machine, with one sliced white onion.

Then you need to spray them with oil and season with 2tsp of rosemary, 2tsp of sage, 1tsp of thyme, black pepper, 1/2tsp garlic granules and salt.

The account said: “Stir to combine and cook for 12 - 15 mins @ 180C until sausages and onion are starting to brown.”

Next, you should add 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard to 800g of mash potato.

They continued: “You can do more or less mash it depends how thick you want your top. 

“We used ready made mash to save time.”

Then add 200g of peas and 300ml gravy to the sausage mix, and stir them together.

Add your mash topping and then you can choose to put a pattern on top with a fork.

Cook for another 12 - 15 minutes, or “until the mash has gone golden.”

The finishing step is to garnish with some parsley and then serve with tender-stem broccoli.”
