After a sex offender & MAFS ‘villain’…meet Jake Ankers, who tamed ‘wild’ Charlotte Crosby after 12 years of heartache
CHARLOTTE Crosby and her boyfriend Jake Ankers have revealed they're engaged after he popped the question on holiday in Dubai.
Yesterday, the Geordie Shore legend told fans about Jake's romantic proposal in a gushing Instagram post to her 8.8million followers.
Delighted Charlotte, 33, shared: "Yes yes yes and yes @jake_ankers you are my best friend you are my life. I CAN'T BELIEVE I’M ENGAGED AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh. Best night ever."
Jake and Charlotte, who first met through mutual friends in 2015, had reportedly been seeing each other "casually" before going public in January 2022.
They became pregnant shortly after Charlotte moved into Jake's Manchester flat and the couple welcomed their daughter, a gorgeous girl named Alba, into the world in October last year.
But things haven’t always been easy for self-proclaimed ‘wild’ Charlotte.

Here, Fabulous takes a close-up look at Charlotte’s new fiancé Jake Ankers - the man who tamed the star and saved her from 12 years of heartache.
Charlotte vowed she would stay single following her split from Liam Beaumont just before the end of 2021, however, she then managed to find love with Jake Ankers - a celebrity driver.
The Mancunian owns a luxury apartment in Manchester and a source told Fabulous: “He's a hard-working guy who's happy to live a private life, making him several worlds away from some of the fame-hungry wannabes Charlotte has dated in the past.
“He's in business, not showbiz, doesn't care about the spotlight and enjoys the finer things in life - all without feeling the need to splash them all over Instagram the whole time.

But Charlotte has been in the limelight since she was just 18 and not only has she caused controversy multiple times before - for having getting steamy on TV and for ‘pooing herself’ while filming for Geordie Shore, she’s also had her fair share of heartbreak.
She had a string of lovers before finding her prince charming - from Geordie Shore co-star Gaz Beadle, sex offender and Celebrity Big Brother winner Stephen Bear, Love Island star Joshua Ritchie and Married At First Sight ‘villain’ Brad Skelly.
Gary Beadle
When Charlotte first arrived in the Geordie Shore house, back in 2011, it was Gary Beadle, also known as Gaz, who got her attention.
The couple were on and off for a whopping 12 series, with Charlotte heartbroken every time Gaz brought a girl back and refused to commit.
After five years of the same routine, they eventually made things official.
However, unsurprisingly, after five years, the break up was bitter.
An unexpected, ectopic pregnancy left Charlotte in agony but Gaz couldn't be by her side because he was busy in Thailand, filming Ex on the Beach - where he slept with Jemma Lucy.
After the horrible turn of events, Charlotte quit Geordie Shore for good, saying she was "willing to sacrifice" that part of career to be away from Gaz.
Gaz, who then moved on with Emma McVey, recently revealed he has now split from the wife and mother of his two kids after two years of marriage.
Mitch Jenkins
During her ‘off’ phase with Gaz, Char started dating a man named Mitch Jenkins in 2013.
Although he never appeared on the show, he was a big presence in her life during filming.
However, the pair split up in December 2014, after Mitch dumped poor Charlotte by text.
Jeavon Stretton
After her split from Mitch, Charlotte starred on Celebs Go Dating, the addictive dating show that pairs celebs with real people.
After a promising first date with Jeavon Stretton, things quickly took a turn for the worse for Charlotte.
Jeavon was apparently appalled after asking Charlotte how many people she'd slept with and receiving an answer he deemed to be "too high", despite claiming his 'number' was in the hundreds.
Char decided not to put up with the double standard and swiftly moved on.
Brad Skelly
If you’re a fan of this season’s Married at First Sight - you’ll all know who Brad Skelly is - but did you know he once dated Charlotte?
Whilst on Celebs Go Dating, Charlotte enjoyed a string of dates with Brad, when he was just 20 years old.
The pair enjoyed a series of dates on the show and were spotted enjoying a night out together, but the potential romance quickly fizzled out.
Ash Harrison
Charlotte was crowned winner of the twelfth series of Celebrity Big Brother, in 2013, but not only did she win, but she also shacked up with Ash Harrison, who was fresh out of a reality romance with Helen Woods.
Charlotte was photographed on a string of dates with Ash after her split from Gaz, and things appeared to be going well.
But after just five months, the pair called it quits under unknown circumstances, with Ash posting the cryptic message, "If someone purposely, constantly disrespects you, they aren't a good person. Simple."
Max Morley
During one of her break ups from Gaz, Charlotte dated Love Island winner Max Morley.
The pair briefly dated for three months, but the romance didn't go anywhere.
Max dumped Charlotte after she was photographed kissing Gaz on a wild Geordie Shore night out.
At the time, Max said: "I saw it coming, Gary clicks his fingers and Charlotte comes running back."Gary just uses Charlotte like a piece of string, and she's a mug for going along with it."
Stephen Bear
Charlotte also dated controversial reality star and now convicted sex offender Stephen Bear.
The pair confirmed their relationship in February 2017, after fans had speculated the two were together for months beforehand.
Their relationship got serious very quickly with talks of marriage and kids the same year they went public.
Speaking to , at the time, Bear and Charlotte explained their future plans together.
Charlotte revealed she wanted to be "pregnant by the end of the year, then we'll get married by the following summer".
She added: "I want to spend the rest of my life with Bear.
"I would like him to be the father of my children and I’d like to marry him."
However, the fairy tale didn't last long, as Charlotte and Bear split in August 2017, before reuniting and then finally breaking up in October 2017.
Josh Ritchie
Charlotte also had a two year romance with another Love Island star, Josh Ritchie.
The pair became official in February 2018 with an Instagram snap captioned: "9.2.18."
However, their relationship hit the rocks after a blazing row in September 2018 and rumours circulated that the couple had split after they had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
They then went on to have a very on/off romance and the pair travelled the world and featured on various TV programmes together including Celebs Go Dating, Just Tattoo Of Us and Celebrity Coach Trip.
But in November 2019 they called time on their relationship, with Charlotte posting on Instagram: "Me and Josh have decided to part ways.
"Sadly the relationship seems to have broken drown.
"Hoping we can still remain civil and wish him the best for the future."
Ryan Gallagher
Following her relationship with Josh, Charlotte moved on to Aussie reality star Ryan Gallagher.
The pair enjoyed a whirlwind romance after meeting on the Australian version of I'm A Celebrity.
They hit it off as soon as they entered the camp and even shared a cheeky snog together.
It was also reported Charlotte was enjoying secret romps with the Married At First Sight star - but denied it once she was out.
They started dating in January 2021, but it was over by the February.
Liam Beaumont
Charlotte’s final man prior to meeting her now fiancé Jake, was hunky videographer Liam Beaumont.
The pair were introduced by friends in Dubai and spent a year and a half together.
While Charlotte had previously called him "the one", things didn't work out between them as the Geordie star announced in August 2021 that the couple's relationship was over.
Addressing the split, Charlotte insisted the two parted ways on good terms, writing on Instagram, "Me and Liam shared some amazing memories together and the split was amicable. In the end, we just realised we were two very different people."
Liam wrote on Instagram after the split, "Lockdown was a complete bubble for us both where we got on great, but as things are now changing, living in a part of the country, I was so far away from friends, family etc – it wasn't easy. I wish her all the best."
