In a recent video (), she did a huge £260 shop from the bargain store.

"I've got five of these [shopping] bags and they're all full to the brim", she said.

"All the autumn/winter stuff is now in, finally. All the jumpers, the coats, the jackets the scarfs.

"This is my time of year, my favourite type of clothes. So I went a bit crazy and pretty much bought everything."

Ellie - the childhood sweetheart of Celtic's Liam Shaw, currently on loan at Wigan Athletic - picked up a cardigan, black jeans, two jumpers, teddy bag, socks, suit trousers and a waistcoat.

But when it came to the jackets she couldn't help but notice that prices have gone up.

She said: “[This khaki trench] is £35 so a little bit expensive for Primark, but it is really nice quality.

"You're looking at up to £100 in H&M for a nice one and I would be happy with this quality."

Turning to a faux leather black puffer jacket, she added: “This was £32 pounds so again a little bit pricey for Primark."

"[This leather look trench] was £40, so again expensive but if this was in Zara I'd probably be about £80 -90 because it is so heavy."

And grabbing a neutral teddy fleece, she admitted: "£28, again pricey but I'm guessing they have just upped the prices.

"But I feel like they've upped the quality as well."

And the price tags still didn't stop Ellie from taking the four coats home with her.

"Primark is actually killing me at the minute, I actually love everything."

Ellie also noticed her favourite scarves have increased by £2.

"Every year I always get the scarves", she gushed.

";They are the best scarves and when I go and watch Liam play football it is freezing, especially when we were in Glasgow and it was like a late kick-off. It was so cold.

"But these scarves, you're sweating. You are not cold at all.

"They have upped the price. I'm sure they used to be like £5, they're now £7.

"I've already got a chocolate brown one and a beige one from the past few years and when I went in the other day they've brought it out in black.

"This is the first year they've done it in black."

She added: "If you get anything from this haul, these scarves are the best investment ever.

"It will last year after year. I've had my beige one for two years I think, still perfect condition and they really, really do keep you so warm when it's cold outside."

Many retailers have been struggling to get by with more people than ever ordering online and rising energy costs.

We’ve seen some well-known loved brands completely disappearing from high streets like Paperchase, Cath Kidston and M&Co.

Those that are scraping by are doing everything they can to survive - including making an increase to their prices.

And Ellie isn't the only one who has noticed price hikes in Primark.

One shopper was left mortified after seeing the costs of their newly released winter range.

did not hold back when she shared the prices in a TikTok video online.

She claimed: “Cost of Livvy has well and truly hit Primark."

Talking about a coat, she said: “Sixty pounds. £60, 60 bar, 60 GBP. Great British pounds.

“Twenty-eight pounds for this pyjama set. Diabolical”

“10 pounds for some fake leather gloves. F**king cheek.”

Another shopper chimed in: “Girlies remember the days we could go into Primark with £100 and come out with a massive bag of stuff.”

While a third claimed: “Primark prices are on par with Zara’s.”

Some fashionistas have even vowed to boycott the budget store after seeing the new prices.

“I have not shopped in Primark in YEARS no different to any other shop now,” added a second.
