The sneaky tactic Taylor Swift uses to change her appearance every time she gets a new boyfriend

TOWERING Taylor Swift — 5ft 11ins in her bare feet — has been changing her footwear to match her men.

Fashion fans have charted the rise and fall of the superstar’s heels and linked them to the height of her boyfriends.

She goes for flats when dating shorter fellas such as Joe from The Jonas Brothers and One Direction heart-throb Harry Styles.

But she has swapped them for platform boots and high-heel loafers now she is with 6ft 5in American footballer Travis Kelce.

The Shake It Off singer was with 5ft 5in Joe Jonas in 2008, and tailored her shoe choice accordingly.

Pictures showed her changing her posture, slightly bending her knees.

The following year she was seeing 5ft 8in Twilight star Taylor Lautner and opted for flat laced-up Oxford shoes.

She then briefly dated 6ft 2in singer-songwriter John Mayer, and would step out in stiletto Louboutins.

By 2012 Swift had moved on with 5ft 10in Harry Styles.

In her single Begin Again that year she sings: “He didn’t like it when I wore high heels, but I do.”

However snaps taken at the time show her mostly in comfy lace-ups.

She was in Prada ­platforms in 2015 when she was linked to 6ft 5in DJ Calvin Harris.

The following year Swift was romanced by British actor Tom Hiddleston, who is 6ft 2.

The pair were spotted out in Los Angeles with Swift ditching the heels in favour of trusty flat pumps.

She then switched back to heels during her six-year relationship with 6ft 2in actor Joe Alwyn.

But Swift chose trainers when she had a brief fling with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, who is 5ft 9ins.

She was in heeled boots recently for dinner in New York with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce.

And on Sunday she wore heels again as she watched him score a touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

Footwear News website, which carried out the analysis, said: “High heels, often worn as a symbol of empowerment, have always been a constant in Swift’s ­wardrobe.

"Her go-to style, however, has changed over the years to match her different eras and also her boyfriend’s height.”
