I’m an attention-seeking catfish and have tricked 6k men on Tinder into sending me money – I made over £10k this year
A SELF-PROCLAIMED catfish has revealed that she tricked thousands of men into sending her money without ever meeting her.
Carmella Bynes edits pictures of herself to look slimmer and glamorous, and has admitted to chatting to over 6,000 men on dating app Tinder.
In the last year, the 25-year-old has earnt nearly £13k from unknowing men transferring her money.
And while she can edit her face to look slimmer, Carmella can’t edit her body. So, she uses pictures of other womens’ physiques to send to her victims.
Also known as Kamie, she admits that she catfishes men for attention as she feels that they will judge her for her weight.
“I’m kind of a little attention w***e, I guess,” she said.

“I mean, I’ve probably spoken to like 6,000 guys.
“They just send me money and stuff. In the past year, I’ve probably made $10k (£8,237) to $15k (£12.6k).”
Carmella, from Arkansas, US, appeared on an episode of MTV’s Catfish where she defended herself.
“I mean, I don’t tell them we’re going to be together or like f**k or anything for the money,” she told host Nev.
“So, I feel like they shouldn’t have very high expectations.”
Carmella was confronted by a man named William that she had been chatting to online, and assured him that she was serious about him.
“It wasn’t my intention to lie, I was just going through a really hard break-up,” she added.
“And after that, I just started catfishing guys for attention.”
Her story has gained the attention of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Mama June.
“Girl, you deserve the world,” she told Carmella.
“Not knocking your hustle but know it may get you in trouble in the end.
“I deserve so much more it took me a long time to figure that out. You are beautiful.
“Like I said, you deserve someone who loves you because money may make you happy for a minute, but having truly love and care about you is worth more than any amount of money.”
