River Island is selling a dupe of this winter’s viral designer scarf jacket – it’s a tenth of the price and ‘so boujee’

ANYONE who’s been on social media in the past month will have seen influencers raving about Toteme’s scarf coat.
The designer brand’s Draped Fringed Wool-Blend Jacket is this season’s most sought-after item: not only is it uber-fashionable, but it comes with a pre-attached scarf to wrap around your neck, keeping you both stylish and snuggly.
The only real issue is the price: Toteme’s garment costs an eye-watering £810, way too much for the majority of us to splurge on a single jacket.
But fear not: eagle-eyed shoppers have spotted a near-identical version that’s just gone on sale in River Island – and the best part is, it’s just a tenth of the price.
The high street store’s comes in a similar stunning charcoal colour, and looks incredibly similar to the Swedish designer’s version.
The wool-blend jacket has near-identical detailing around the neck, as well as similar looking long baggy sleeves with smart cuff detailing.
The real difference is the price: River Island’s is much less strenuous on the purse strings, coming in at just £75.
That’s less than a tenth of the price of the original piece.
Unsurprisingly, fashionistas have been racing to get their hands on the gorgeous garment before it flies off shelves.
Influencer raved about the stunning piece to her Instagram followers, describing herself as “obsessed” with the number.

And her followers clearly agreed, leaving dozens of comments gushing over the piece.
“Love love love,” one wrote along with a heart-eyes emoji.
“Obsessed with grey, so lush,” another added.
Fashion influencer @Natalie_Mccc also shared the coat on her TikTok page, labelling it the perfect “boujee” option for autumn.
It’s not the only River Island buy that’s had shoppers in a tizz over recent weeks.
People have been going wild for a pair of patterned heels being sold by the high-street retailer, which just look just like celeb-favs from Gucci.
But while the designer slingbacks are priced at a staggering £580, River Island’s come in at just £45 – and you’d be hard-pushed to spot the difference.
