Savvy shopper reveals how she saved £63 on her M&S food shop & the exact best time to go to nab yellow-sticker bargains
IS there a better feeling than arriving at your local supermarket just as staff are labelling up the discounted yellow-sticker items?
Well, while people may think it's the case of right place, right time, one M&S shopper has revealed the exact time she popped into her local branch and stumbled upon a whole range of discounted food products.
Marcia Jayne took to money-saving Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK and shared a snap of her mega yellow-sticker food haul.
Alongside the image, she penned: "My super bargain shop from M&S this afternoon."
She then went on to reveal how it cost her just £48 instead of £111 - meaning she saved herself a whopping £63.
Among the products she snapped up were three boxes of eight madeleine cakes reduced from £3 to 60p, a £3.85 Victoria sponge cake slashed to just £1.79 and a £2.40 sunflower and spelt loaf now priced at just 99p.

She also nabbed a crispy aromatic half duck cut from £12 to £6.96.

Luckily, Marcia didn't gate-keep the information and revealed: "4pm is 2nd mark down at our store."
It wasn't long before the comments section was flooded with messages from impressed social media users, with many quick to commend Marcia on her great deals.
"Well done!" enthused one.
A second penned: "Enjoy every mouthful."
A third commented: "Well done! I've gone in before closing a few times and got some lovely bargains and free flowers at the end of the night!"
Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: "Wonderful bargains."

"The food really is lovely and most you can freeze. Not so many yellow stickers lately so presume they have got the hang of their audience and don’t get so much unsold. It was brilliant for a while.
