MICHELLE Keegan has come a long way since her days as a Coronation Street star, with a love of fake tan, back-combed hair and large hoop earrings.
The 36-year-old fashionista, who reportedly raked in a huge £2.5 million last year, has undergone a striking style evolution over the years, and now is almost as well known for her jaw-dropping looks as her on-screen moments.
She’s long been considered one of the sexiest women on our TV screens and recently we saw fans go wild for her latest clothing collection, full of stunning looks that are perfect for autumn/winter, so it seems only right to look at the style transformation of the brunette beauty.
Over the years, it seems Michelle has majorly switched up her make-up routine, experimenting with a number of different looks.
The Our Girl actress has also alternated her hairstyles over the years, experimenting with blonde, opting for extensions and rocking a shorter, more natural cut.
And with series five of the TV comedy drama series Brassic back on our screens this week, it seems only right to look at the style transformation of the brunette beauty.
Worlds away from how we first saw Michelle when she starred in Coronation Street, with giant hoop earrings and a bright layer of tan, over the years Michelle has gone through a range of looks that have left fans in shock, claiming she looks "totally different" from her younger self.
Not only this, but speculation continues over whether the actress has had surgery - a suggestion she has always adamantly denied, but here we explore how her style has developed over the years...
2007
Michelle burst onto our screens in 2007, when she landed the role of Tina in Coronation Street.
She had previously worked at an airport check-in desk but left all this behind for a life in front of the camera.
Tina's hoop earrings and scraped back hair may not have been to Michelle's personal taste, but it's how we first began to recognise the budding actress.
2009
By 2009, now a Corrie name, Michelle started getting comfortable with red carpet life - and this was reflected in her style.
The young actress happily embraced stilettos and mini dresses for public events, ensuring all eyes were on her.
Not only was her make-up bold, with winged eyeliner and dark eyeshadow commonplace, but she also accessorised with statement pieces, including large hoops, eye-catching rings and fur bags.
For Michelle it was all about big hair and sparkly outfits - a far cry from her sleek looks of today.
2012
After meeting her now-husband Mark Wright in Dubai in 2012, Michelle underwent a mega style transformation.
The Stockport babe had a total makeover after meeting Towie star Mark while on holiday and while she still looked striking, her hair turned much sleeker and the make-up far more glam.
The mini dresses were swapped for smart, straight dresses, including the simple white dress she donned for the 2012 TV Choice Awards.
2013
Michelle and Mark went public with their romance in May 2013 at the British Soap Awards - and Michelle looked super glamorous in a glistening champagne strapless dress by designer Rachel Gilbert, and a sleek blow dry to match.
By this time, Michelle was developing her signature style, and began opting for more head-turning, sophisticated gowns.
Not only this, but her tan and accessories were far more natural and toned down.
2016
In 2016, the naturally brunette star shocked fans at the Revlon masquerade ball when she was pictured in a Nadine Merabi dress, as she showed off an epic new hairstyle - bombshell platinum locks.
People were divided as to whether they liked the look, with some saying she should keep it, and others on the fence.
However, it was later revealed that the blonde hair was needed for her new Tina & Bobby role and wouldn't be a permanent fixture.
Not only did Michelle's hair change here, but we also noticed her make-up becoming increasingly brighter - and she previously claimed that it’s all down to her foundation.
She revealed: "For me, I use a sheer foundation - like the Giorgio Armani illuminator foundation - which has got a little bit of coverage, but it's not too thick. And it's got a dewy finish."
She went on to add to "I don't really like feeling like my face is caked in makeup, and it can't breathe.
"I have combination skin so if I wear too thick foundation, I can feel it sliding off in areas, and then I'm conscious of it all day."
2017
By 2017, Michelle's glamification really took off - she was now comfortable in her style and happily planning her wedding to Mark, which would take place in 2018.
Michelle, who has remained as one of TV’s most in-demand actresses, was pictured at the Brit Awards in a stylish blue jumpsuit, with a black belt around the waist.
The look was simple but glamorous, which she accessorised with an Aspinal of London Scarlet clutch bag and silver heels, alongside her shorter locks back dark and in loose curls.
For many years, the Our Girl star has tried to tone up her slender body, but has admitted that she hates going to the gym.
Michelle instead prefers to watch YouTube clips and do quick eight minute workouts at home which focus on her abs.
When she does make it to the gym though, Michelle says that she avoids “too much cardio" as it "makes [her] scrawny” and sticks to weights instead.
She told : "A few years ago I would have done about 40 minutes of cardio, whereas now I feel like the more I do weights, the more I see a change in my body.
"For my body, weight training is better for me. I do alternative days, so one day I’ll focus on my legs, and the next day I’ll focus on my arms."
In recent years, the star decided to shake things up and use her home gym to transform her body once more, with a little help from her beau Mark.
2020
In 2020, Michelle put on a very leggy display in a plunging sequined silver gown from couture bridal designer Galia Lahav, as she strutted along the red carpet at the Brit Awards.
Her long locks were tied back into a statement ponytail, showing off not only her flawless make-up, but the stunning backless detailing of the dress.
Following a 2020 Coronation Street 60th anniversary episode, viewers were quick to comment on Michelle’s appearance.
One wrote: "Is it just me but does Michelle Keegan look different?"
While another chimed in: "Just watching the documentary about Corrie and Michelle Keegan doesn't even look like Michelle Keegan anymore."
Over the years, rumours have sparked about the soap icon having lip fillers and Botox to keep fine lines at bay.
The star has vehemently denied having surgery in the past, but celeb favourite Doctor Nyla Raja notes how the actress’ face has changed.
She suggested it might be due to a series of non-cosmetic procedures, as she explained: “The aesthetics industry has grown so much over recent years and, more often than not, celebrities turn to non-surgical treatments to enhance their appearance.
“Non-surgical treatments have little or no downtime, meaning you can reshape your nose or lips overnight. Michelle Keegan has changed since her youth but she’s managed to keep her face looking realistic.”
Doctor Nyla continued by speculating: “She’s claimed to have never had surgery, that [does not necessarily] rule out dermal filler and Botox.
"Her flawless, wrinkle-free skin and fuller jawline and lips suggest she has had some injectables, giving her a more symmetrical, tighter and defined appearance.”
Doc to the stars, Dr Esho, previously revealed the TV actress "maintains" her flawless features with a series of non-surgical treatments - which are said to total an eye watering £9,000 a year.
While visiting his prestigious Harley Street clinic doesn't come cheap for the star, the non-invasive procedures certainly seem to be worth every penny.
In fact, she looks better than ever and seems worlds away from Weatherfield and far more like a Kardashian.
Dr Esho told : “When Michelle visited the clinic, she has a combination of three treatments. She has amazing skin anyway, but she always maintains it in the right way.”
The doctor recommends the treatments are carried out every month, which would set you back £9k a year.
He added: "She has a great complexion anyway but this treatment is designed to repair the surface layers of the skin and to leave it looking brighter, tighter, toned and with pores appearing more refined."
In response to accusations about cosmetic procedures, Michelle previously said: "People always say 'have you or haven't you?' But it's my business.
“It's my face. So what if I have or haven't? I don't read it when people speculate about it."
She also explained: "I like the fact people point out they think I’ve had a nose job.
"They think I’ve had new cheeks, a new chin – but I haven’t and I don’t think I ever would, if I’m being honest. I’m scared it’ll go wrong!"
Michelle has denied having Botox, explaining as an actress she needs to be able to move her face.
She told : “Everyone says that I’ve changed my face and I’ve had Botox, but you have to be able to move your face when you’re an actress - which I can do.
“So you can see I haven’t had it. I don’t worry about what people say though, what’s the big deal about Botox?
"I know loads of people who’ve had it, it’s not a big deal.”
When Michelle was asked if she would consider cosmetic surgery in the future, she admitted, "I would say, never say never".
2021
By 2021, Michelle cemented her fashion presence on Instagram and didn’t hold back from regularly showing off her incredible looks.
From sultry selfies in blazer dresses and knee high boots, to high glamour gowns and heels, she proved she is more than worthy of the title of being a social media fashion icon.
Michelle's style had by now transformed and was far more chic - with the bright fake tan nowhere in sight.
2022
At the 2022 Bafta Television Awards, Michelle turned heads in a pretty fairy tale style tulle gown with sequin accents.
She looked a vision in pink in the beautiful dress, which had pleated detailing and a thigh-high split, as she put on a loved up display with Mark.
While she seems to have favoured heavier eye make-up - particularly eyeshadow - in her younger years, she now prefers a more natural look but opts for thicker brows and slightly plumper lips.
Her make-up was not only flawless, but sexy too, as she donned a flattering cat eye and perfectly carved cheekbones.
2023
As of 2023, we’re now all too used to seeing Michelle, with her enviable physique and ageless beauty, looking chic on the red carpet.
Whether she’s on holiday or heading to a lavish celebrity event, Michelle often flashes her washboard abs, posing in her signature style - stunning cropped co-ords.
We recently saw her rock a dazzling black two piece as she posed alongside her dapper husband on the red carpet at the 2023 National Television Awards.
Michelle is not only famed for her sculpted abs and toned legs, but the pair have become the richest couple in television and were previously hailed as TV's new young power couple thanks to their ever-growing wealth.
