Woman turns down proposal in VERY public way – claiming ‘you’ve been cheating with my brother’

A WOMAN has left people in stitches after turning down a very budget marriage proposal in Scotland.

Her partner decided to ask for her hand in marriage by writing it onto a single white bedsheet and hanging it onto a metal fence on Edgar Road roundabout in Elgin, Moray, Scotland.

But the woman, who is known only as Rachel, turned the proposal down and took the opportunity to make a wild claim.

She alleged that her partner had been sleeping with her own brother – turning the situation from bad to worse.

Hanging her own bedsheet next to his, she wrote in blue ink: “No!!! You slept with my brother”.

But that’s not all as a third bedsheet was hung right next to these two.

And though it appears to have nothing to do with the sibling-based love triangle, it’s left everyone in hysterics, according to Deadline News.

The smaller bedsheet is situated to the right of the sordid family drama and has been sloppily scrawled with: “Happy 40th Sandi.”

The snap was shared online with the caption: “Not your usual bedsheet message at the Edgar Road roundabout in Elgin. Anyway, happy 40th Sandi.”

Social media users were quick to comment on the post with the focus going towards Sandi’s birthday.

One said: “So much to unpack there.”

Another added: “Poor Sandi.”

Bedsheet messages have long been a part of Scottish culture, and can be spotted hanging on fences, walls and signs to celebrate births, deaths and marriages.

Popularity for the public bedsheet message has dwindled since its heyday in the 90s though, with many claiming it should make a comeback as an “art form”.

Meanwhile, one woman has shared the hilarious moment a tourist ruined a proposal… and everyone is saying the same thing.

And this is what your proposal says about your relationship, according to Dr Pam Spurr.
