TATT'S BAD

I’m so covered in face tattoos I’m banned from getting more & can’t get a job – no one recognises old photos of me

THEY say you never get just one tattoo.

And Melissa Sloan, 46, clearly didn't stop as she has now been barred from visiting tattoo parlours because of her many inkings.

The mum of two from Wales revealed she was now unable to get a job because of her tattoos.

She explained to the : "I'm not proud of saying it but I haven't worked for 20 years.

"I have applied for jobs and they look at me and say 'what is this', like I'm not a human being. I would love a job and prove them all wrong because all the time they keep saying to me 'no one will give you a job.'"

Melissa revealed that people often look at her and make assumptions about who she is because of her 800-plus tattoos.

"People don't like me with my tattoos, my face, because they just look at you like you're worthless, you're nothing," she added.

"They don't want people like us with tattoos on their face. They don't understand us, do they? We're just exactly the same as anyone else. We breathe the same, we live the same – but they just don't want to know."

The mum got her first tattoo at the age of 20 and quickly became hooked.

She now has three layers of tattoos on her face and says her skin has started to turn blue 'like a Smurf.'

Previously, she admitted to getting inked at least three times a week and will continue up until she is 70.

Melissa even carries around her own tattoo gun at all times in case inspiration strikes.

But her obsession has meant Melissa can no longer get any professional tattoos

"I'm banned from tattoo parlous because my face is full of tattoos. They don't do them on faces. Some tattoo places don't do them on faces," she explained.

The mum has had English flags, Playboy Bunnies, and leaves tattooed over and over again on her face and looks worlds away from how she did 20 years ago.

Even her children don't recognise Melissa when she uses makeup to cover them up and often cries as they prefer seeing her with her ink.

Melissa previously told The Sun: "People stop and stare and the hate is unbelievable.

"But I am me and I like the way I am. My mum always said she was proud of me and encouraged me to do keep doing what I loved.

"You only live once. Do what you want to do."

She added: "I started in my 20s and then it just grew and grew and grew.

"I'm addicted to it now, and now I get a new one once or twice a week.

"I couldn't count how many I've got. I'll keep going for as long as I live."
