Posting on social media, the cleaning whizz shared her simple ‘housekeeping tip’.

She explained: “As a professional cleaner, you should NOT be using microfiber on clients’ toilets.

“It’s not sanitary.

“Most people are not okay with their cleaner using microfiber on toilets!”

Instead, the cleaning fan demonstrated how she makes toilets sparkle, in a much more hygienic way.

Using a toilet spray, the 23-year-old sprayed the product over the toilet and then added bleach inside the bowl.

Whilst wearing gloves, she then used a wipe to clean the area, rather than a microfiber cloth.

She also advised that you can use paper towels instead, as this is much more sanitary than cloths.

The cleaning whizz then explained: “Anything disposable like paper towel, lysol wipes, and there are paper towel rolls out there that are eco friendly!

“Microfibre traps bacteria in its fibres! Also your washing machine cannot get hot enough to kill all bacterias!”

The TikTok clip, which was shared under the username @, has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed a staggering 457,600 views.

Social media users were eager to take to the comments to share how they clean their toilets.

One person said: “I only clean with a paper towel. Using cloth grosses me out.”

Another added: “I just use cheap sponges cut up then bin after. If I did use a cloth I'd just steep it in bleach before washing.”

A third commented: “I use disposable dusters and paper towels.”

Not only this, but this cleaning whizz previously revealed that you mustn’t use microfiber cloths on your sinks or bathroom floors either.

She explained: “The problem is when you clean, the cloths bacteria gets trapped in the fibres and you may use it on another surface.

“I worked in infection control. This is common knowledge in the cleaning world.

“This tip is mostly for bathroom floors. I always use disposable as there is a lot of pee on the floor.
