What is Hayu, how can I watch it and which shows are available to stream on demand?

IF YOU'RE a fan of American reality TV shows and the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, you need to know about streaming channel Hayu.

The on-demand subscription service allows British viewers to watch their must-see shows from across the pond on the same day that they are released in the States. Here's all you need to know...

What is Hayu? What shows are available to stream?

is an subscription channel purely dedicated to reality TV.

It currently offers more than 3,000 episodes of shows such as Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Don't Tell the Bride, Made in Chelsea, The Real Housewives and RuPaul's Drag Race.

Mariah Carey's eight-part series Mariah's World is also available for viewers.

Unlike Netflix, Hayu don't currently produce any original content - but the site is expected to expand it's offering in the coming months.

How can I watch Hayu?

Hayu currently costs £4.99 a month. There's no contract, so you can cancel your subscription at any time.

The company also offers a 30-day free trial, so you can try before you buy.

Customers can watch on their laptop via the website, or they can download the Hayu app to watch on Apple/Android mobile and tablet devices, or on Amazon FireTV.

It's not currently available on Roku, Playstation or XBOX, but if you want the big screen TV experience, the Hayu app also works with Chromecast, Apple TV or Apple Airplay.

Virgin Media TV XLTiVo customers get the service as part of their package.

Just like other online channels - including Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Amazon Video and 4OD - you can download shows to watch offline.

Is Hayu coming to Amazon Prime?

Amazon announced that could access live telly through their Prime Video service.

Customers who pay an extra fee will be able to watch Discovery Communications channels and Hayu.

For £3.99 a month, Amazon subscribers will be granted access to Hayu's 150+ shows, meaning it's slightly cheaper than getting the service directly from Hayu's website.
