Within seconds the scratch was gone

DIY whizz Lindsey Pedey shared her 6p cleaning hack on Instagram and it’s left people blown away.

The home pro revealed she was moving furniture around when she noticed she’d accidentally scratched her laminate flooring.

Fortunately, she had just the trick to get rid of it, and you can find it in the fruit aisle of your local Asda.

In the clip, she penned: “I put a BIG scratch in our LVP floor moving furniture around yesterday.

“I had a moment (or two) of panic, then remembered something about rubbing an almond on it.”

She decided to get an almond from her pantry, cracked it in half to expose the meat and began rubbing it along the scratch, and in seconds it was gone.

Lindsey was stunned, writing: “AND IT WORKED. You can still very faintly see the scratch if you’re really looking for it, but husband hasn’t noticed so I call that a win!”

The oil from the nut can smooth other scratches and scrapes, and you can use all sorts of varieties depending on the colour of your wooden flooring.

“If you have dark floors try using a walnut instead of an almond! I tried it on my scratch and it definitely had a darker color. Nuts! Who knew!?” she added.

The video posted to her account @ has gone viral with over 57,000 likes.

People were quick to share their thoughts and thank the DIY pro for the hack.
