A SAVVY shopper has put the £1 sections of three budget shops to the test to see which is really worth it.

Faye Jay went to Home Bargains, B&M and Poundland and showed off some of the goodies she got her hand on.

First up, despite it's name not everything in Poundland is that cheap, but Faye managed to nab quite a lot of snacks and other bargains for £1 or less.

She got a sleek phone case, a tub of Nescafe instant coffee, and even a pack of four mini pork pies for just 64p.

Some of the other great deals included a Yankee Candle wax melt, a pack of 20 tea lights and a dog toy.

For the most part though, the shopper made the most of the reduced snacks and sweet treats, like the chocolate and crisps she got to stock up her copboards.

Home Bargains had a similar range of products, but also mostly snacks.

She grabbed yoghurt coated rice cakes for 59p, Mug Shot packet soups and a chicken cooking sauce for 79p.

Other bits she grabbed, like floor wipes, scented shower steamers and air freshener also all cost less than £1, which impressed the shopping fan.

But it was the bits she grabbed from B&M that really impressed Faye.

She bought a Minecraft notebook for her son, loads of sweats and cakes as well some some low calorie snacks for herself.

Impressively, Faye even got a huge chocolate flapjack for just 25p as well.

Not only that, but she nabbed some face wash and cleaning products too.

After sharing her hauls on social media other bargain hunters were impressed with how much she bought for so little.

One said: "Wow you got great stuff for £1 or less, which happens not often anymore."

And a second agreed: "Even in Poundland it's hard to find cheap stuff, really good haul."
