A WOMAN who was quoted thousands for a new deck built one herself and saved £3,000.
Posting under the username 'Ohabode' on TikTok, Jasmine described exactly how she beat exorbitant prices to complete her dream garden on her own.
Jasmine claimed she was "quoted £4k to £6k from various landscapers".
But she gave her garden a jaw-dropping makeover by building her decking all by herself.
And the savvy homeowner revealed that she only spent £1,140 in total on her new deck.
The TikToker - whose page is popular for DIY and home hacks - revealed that the first step was to mark out the area and lift all the grass.

Jasmine then dug holes for posts and added breeze block bases into the soil.
Next she protected the wood and "concreted" them in for extra stability.
With the posts completed, Jasmine cut little "X's" in the fabric and slot down each wooden post for a snug fit.
And the DIY whizz did not neglect the potential impact of weeds, using weed fabric for shingle for drainage and prevention.

Jasmine advised viewers to use spacers when attaching beams to the wall as she built out the rest of the frame.
The TikToker added that anyone trying out the DIY method should "lay the boards groove side down" and "cut to length".
She claimed that this was better for airflow and finished off her project by painting the surface a classy grey.
Finishing off her video, a happy Jasmine said that her deck "will last over 10 years" and she "absolutely loves it".
As always, TikTokers were quick to take to the comments section and share their opinions on the matter.
"It looks great, cracking job," said one.
A second wrote: "You did a better job then some professionals do amazing."
Meanwhile another commented: "It’ll last longer... A lot longer. Looks great, look after it!"
"The £3,000 quote! You were going to get mugged," said a fourth TikToker.
