So Nikki decided to go for a less time-consuming option, and nabbed three £13 shower curtains from eBay.

She took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to rave about the garden makeover, as she shared pictures of the before and after.

"I’ve seen so many people using shower curtains to cover fence panels," she said.

"I’ve managed to do the same with some really unsightly concrete panels which run right along my back door and kitchen window.

She revealed that she'd got them from eBay and they were buy two, get one free.

So she spent £26 on the shower curtains and then £6.49 on an adhesive to attach them to the walls.

And she was quickly praised in the comments section, with one person writing: ";Love it, could do with them all over the front and back of my house, might have made it more liveable."

"I’ve seen it all over Facebook and some look great don’t they? I love a good hack" another added.

"Fab idea looks lovely," a third wrote.

"Brilliant, I wanted one for my concrete shed but didn't know how to attach it so thank you for showing the adhesive," someone else commented.

As another shared their suggestion for getting rid of the creases on the shower curtain.

"If you want to remove the crease you can iron it," they wrote.

"I did with mine putting a cotton flannel on top and used steam.

"All gone and no damage."
