Weetabix fans told they’ve been eating them WRONG but it’s divided opinion
WEETABIX fans have been told they've eating their favourite cereal wrong - as boffins reveal the 'correct' way.
Brits have been debating over whether you should put milk in the bowl before or after the cereal for years... and now the founders themselves have weighed in.
The debate kicked off again when Grand Tour star James May expressed his disgust on Twitter about someone pouring milk before cornflakes.
He tweeted: "Just seen this happen and it disturbed me."
And the cereal brand then responded in a video on Twitter saying "rules were made to be broken".
The video showed a cereal bowl with milk poured in before a wheat brick is delicately added in.

But now even the brand bosses have had to step in to settle the frosty debate.
Elaine Wan, Assistant Brand Manager said: “The debate of milk or Weetabix first is something our fans love to stake their claim on, and the jury is still out.
“The big question? Is there a right way to eat Weetabix? Well traditionally, it’s always been Bix first, then the milk, but we believe rules were meant to be broken and sometimes you’ve got to switch it up.
“Putting the milk in first means you can keep your Bix crisp and crunchier for longer so it’s really a preference on texture.
“That said, we’re happy to let our fans decide on how they eat theirs. When it comes to Weetabix, anything goes.
“Remember, we are the brand who put Beanz on their Bix!”
It comes after the company caused outrage online suggesting fans eat Heinz baked beans on top of the cereal.
The British cereal company shared a photo of the bizarre dish - and people have been left in uproar debating whether it would be tasty or horrible.
