MANY of us are curious to find out whether the new online bargain store, Temu, is really worth the hype.

So YouTuber decided to spend £340 ($430) on lost packages to see what all the fuss was about.

In the video, she said: "Temu has been taking over, and I don't know how to feel about it.

"I don't know about you but I've been bombarded with their ads on YouTube, Instagram and Super Bowl.

"And they email me, almost every single day."

So she decided to buy lots of lost packages from a third-party retailer and see which of the items were 'trash' or 'treasure' depending on whether she would actually keep them or not.

She first picked up two bowls that spin around which she decided to place in the treasure shopping pile.

She also found some pretty decent dupes of Apple's Airpods by Lenovo and a packet of teeny tiny flashlights.

But things soon started to go downhill when she opened a package full of black netting that smelt and a used chopping board.

Hope also had a package filled with resin moulds - perfect for those who love arts and craft.

She also bagged a mini manual washing machine, as well as an automatic soap dispenser that didn't work.

But the shopping fan was thrilled to see rubbish bags in the mix.

"These are actually really useful," Hope added.

"That is the thing I can see Temu being potentially very useful for.

" Stuff that you're buying for around the house anyway and why not get it for like a fourth of the price."

But when Hope opened the package, she soon realised they weren't bin bags at all and the package was instead a giant mattress protector.

She also picked up two evening gowns, a T-shirt and shorts set, a giant water bottle and doughnut blanket - which she put in her treasure pile.

Although Hope managed to get more than her money back in items she received, roughly £1,000, the majority of the items ended up in the 'trash' pile.

In the end Hope had three giant storage boxes full of items she would never use.

She said: "Obviously somebody ordered this stuff and was going to use it and I think it will make some good donations to a shelter."
