A WOMAN who lost 160 pounds has revealed that you can still enjoy tasty foods you crave without all the calories.
Dieting is an endeavor that many of us are wary of, as we believe we will have to restrict ourselves from everything we love.
Amber Clemens () didn’t always have the slim, muscular figure that she rocks today.
She lost 160 pounds after committing to a healthy eating and fitness regimen that she could stick to.
Realistic about her diet, however, she didn’t want to cut out all those flavors that made her happy – so she found similar, yet healthier, swaps.
“Here are five of the easiest swaps that I made on my weight loss journey,” she began in the .
BARBECUE SAUCE
Loving the tangy taste that comes with barbecue sauce, she wasn’t ready to give up that sugar-filled condiment.
“But instead of using Original Sweet Baby Ray’s, which has 70 calories per serving, I switched to the zero-sugar-added Sweet Baby Ray’s, which tastes exactly the same and is only 15 calories per serving.”
Calling herself a “sauce girl” she admitted that she still uses it on “everything.”
TOPPINGS
Her next swap was one that also had the added benefit of extra protein, meaning you’ll feel fuller afterwards.

Rather than snacking on or garnishing dishes with regular pepperoni, which has 150 calories per serving, she began using turkey peperoni.
“It is only 70 calories per serving and has a lot more protein.”
YOGURT
For breakfast, she ditched her usual strawberry Yoplait yogurt and opted for Light + Fit strawberry Greek yogurt.
While Yoplait has 140 calories and 5 grams of protein, Light + Fit has 80 calories and 12 grams of protein.
BEEF
Ground beef makes for an easy lunch or dinner main dish, but the kind you buy makes a difference on your health.
“I switched from 80-20 ground beef, which is 280 calories per serving,” she said, referring to the 80% lean and 20% fat content marker on the label, "to 93%-7% ground beef, which is 170 calories per serving.”
ICE CREAM
Her last tip reminded viewers that they can still indulge on sweets and lose weight.
“If you like this,” she said, pointing to Breyers mint chocolate chip ice cream, “I’m going to save you 100 calories.”
Rather than binge on a 200 calorie per serving dessert, Amber said to buy Yasso mint chocolate chip ice cream bars, which are only 100 calories per serving.
