BRITNEY Spears has been excitedly telling the world how her lavish home remodeling project is underway.
But an interior design expert suggested fans of the pop icon's famous Instagram dance clips might soon be in for a surprise.
Around the time Britney gave consent for her ex-husband Kevin Federline to relocate with their sons to Hawaii, she posted a photo of a living room online.
The May 31 featured text which read: “A room is not a room without natural light.”
“The first thing I’m doing while remodeling my home is finding the best places for natural light !!!” Britney captioned it.
In another on May 15, the pop star mentioned : “I’m so excited about this month !!! I’m remodeling 3 rooms in my house!!!” she said.
Britney has lived on and off in her Thousand Oaks mega mansion in the White Stallion Estates for years - having bought it for $7.9million in 2015.
She and her husband Sam Asghari, 29, briefly moved into a $12million Calabasas home but sold up after eight months, moving back to her 21-acre pile.
In an exclusive interview, interior designer told The U.S. Sun: “My impression from Britney's Instagram post is that she is around artificial light all the time.
"She mentions that she has done millions of photo shoots and natural light is a priority to her.

"We naturally crave the outdoors anyway and we all need as much access to daylight as possible.
"Natural lighting around Britney's home will provide her with an organically lit stage for her impromptu videos and photo shoots.
"On an emotional level natural lighting from the sun also helps to improve moods and reduces stress.
"While good natural lighting is key to a beautiful home, this can be a huge benefit for a star like Britney physically and emotionally.
"An abundance of daylight helps our bodies maintain a rhythm for a good night’s sleep.
"As a child star, Britney was on the go and performed a good majority of her life.
"Today, maintaining a work-life balance for Britney is critical which is where her need for natural light fits in."
This is the second time that Britney looks to be starting over.
In November 2021 at the end of her 13-year conservatorship, Britney began her new life of freedom.
Despite this, she endured a volatile relationship with her two sons in part because of her naked posts online.
The two teens - Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden James, 16 - did not attend her wedding.
From there, the pop star has continued to live with Sam in virtual seclusion.
It is Britney's videos and pictures on her Instagram feed that offers fans a glimpse of her sprawling California home.
"The more time that Britney spends at home, she will benefit from a design that supports her emotional and physical health," added Michele.
"Most homeowners would love to have the expansive home that Britney has with all of the natural light.
"The only downside is the windows in her home because they are segmented and limit the expansive views.
"While the windows match the architecture of the home, she could afford to modernize.
"Britney could connect her indoor space with the outdoors for her well-being.
"For a residence like hers, the best places for natural light would be the kitchen, family room, home office, and main living rooms.
"The rooms where you spend the most amount of time would be important to have natural lighting.
"Britney has a gorgeous expansive home with lots of windows, but for some like myself, we just can’t get enough."
Our expert noted how Britney appears to lean toward being in nature which impacts her.
"Biophilia is a term used to define how we all have an affinity towards the natural world," added .
"So I would encourage Britney to think even bigger when it comes to windows and doors.
"She can go taller, wider but more simplified and beautiful.
"Opening her space to the outdoors with foldable doors and movable glass walls will really impact how she feels in a positive way.
"Living space that incorporates nature, would be great for her well-being."
Through the years, Britney has practically dominated the pop world.
But the Baby One More Time hitmaker has also invested in plenty of real estate.
She owns homes in Beverly Hills and in New York. She also sold her Calabasas mansion at a loss in March.
Britney's favorite is said to be the glam Thousand Oaks home where she and Sam married.
It is an Italian-style six-bedroom, seven-bathroom house decked out in marble.
The mansion also boasts high ceilings and a neutral color palette.
Inside there is also a wine cellar, a movie theatre, a huge foyer, and a living room.
Britney's outside space includes a tennis court and pool as well as immaculately manicured Italian-style gardens.
"Britney’s garden and outdoor space are lush, beautiful, and well-landscaped," added Michele.
"She loves to spend time outdoors.
"When she is outside, she appears to be more relaxed.
"She could also benefit from being able to see more of the gardens and landscape from the inside too with the expanded windows.
"She is also in the right climate for a combined indoor/outdoor space – especially toward the back of her home.
"Inside Britney’s hallway lends itself to some limited views of the mountains.
"If she can expand these views with even bigger windows, the view would be breathtaking.
"While she is getting some good natural light in the hallway, there are areas and pockets of darkness that she is lighting artificially.
"When I look at her kitchen, I see a reflection of artificial light in the glass.
"The kitchen is a very important area for natural light as it is the hub for nutrition and meals throughout the day.
"I would recommend bringing an abundance of natural light to the kitchen.

"It is where we start our day, whether it is a good cup of coffee or juicing as Britney does.
"A burst of sunshine for Britney in the morning would really set the tone for the rest of her day."
