People are just realizing CVS has a full name – fans say they ‘never would have guessed’
CVS pharmacy stores have been part of the American retail scene for the last 60 years.
The drugstore chain, which was founded in Massachusetts in 1963, has more than 100million customers nationwide.
A TikToker (@) shocked influencers when she told her followers that she had bought some dry mouth spray from "Consumer Value Stores."
The way Nisa mentioned the chain's historic name in the viral video didn’t go unnoticed.
A TikToker, , said: “The casual use of CVS’s government name.”
Another commented: “This is how I realized I have never once considered that CVS was an abbreviation.”
A third TikToker, , quipped: “You just taught me that's what CVS is short for.”
A viewer said they would never have guessed the meaning of CVS.
Viewers were puzzled that Nisa referred to CVS as Consumer Value Store.
One influencer said: “Why’d you say CVS’s full government name?”

Other TikTokers joked that the retail giant had done something wrong.
CVS’ history dates to the 1960s when the retailer opened its first Consumer Value Store in Lowell.
Chiefs changed the name to CVS just a year later and it's remained the same ever since.
But, Tom Ryan, the ex-CEO, considered the letters to be a nod to "Convenience, Value, and Service," per
CVS is one of the largest drugstore chains in the US. It has more than 9,600 stores and a presence in all 50 states.
Meanwhile, The U.S. Sun reported how Redditors turned creative when speculating the meaning behind BJ in BJ’s Wholesale Club.
Some thought it was a nod to the track Billie Jean -even though the song was released two years before the retailer was founded.
Others speculated that the letters were a nod to the former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
