But one savvy man has proven that you can give your outdoor haven an instant glow up on a budget.
Carl Gibson revealed how he totally transformed his garden using a bargain buy from eBay - and it cost just £12.
Taking to money-saving Facebook group , he shared a snap of the 3D shower curtain he purchased online which features a stunning peacock and hot air balloon scene.
After placing it on a wall to create a breathtaking backdrop, he then created a cosy area around it - complete with patterned rug, seats and an outdoor heater.
Alongside the image, he penned: "Thank you to the member who posted about shower curtains my completed piece of heaven."
In response to social media users desperate to know where he got it from, Carl clarified: "I bought mine from eBay.
"I put in 3d shower curtain and loads come up."

It wasn't long before the post racked up a whopping 1.1k likes and hundreds of comments - with many very impressed by his creativity.
"Looks awesome - we've been doing this for around 12 years cheap way to brighten up a cruddy garden wall…we also put fairy lights around too," wrote one.
