Mother-of-the-groom slammed for wearing a white dress to her son’s big day – but that’s not even the worst part
THERE are a few unspoken rules when it comes to weddings.
But the most importnat one is not to wear white unless you're the bride.
Although it's not unheard of for some cheeky guests to break this rule now and again, it's not usually the mother-of-the-groom who causes such a stir.
But that's exactly what happened at this couple's wedding, and even the other guests were shocked.
One took to Facebook to share pictures of the newlyweds and the groom's mum.
She wrote: "Shaming the mother of the groom who showed up in this white flowy dress which is WAAAAY too similar to the bride's dress.

"Bride has a little more fabric but same flowy dress in WHITE!"
In the pictures the bride can be seen wearing a simple white gown with a matching veil.
Meanwhile, the older woman, who the guest claims is the groom's mum, is wearing a similar white dress, just without the veil.
After she snaps were shared on Facebook other users slammed the mum for wearing a white dress at all.

One wrote: "Honestly, I would volunteer my services as wine/food spiller on people with white dresses."
"Beautiful white dress. Would go so good with red wine," a second joked.
And a third commented: "What is WITH people wearing white to weddings?!? It’s a big no no unless it’s specifically requested! The audacity. I swear."
"She would have been kicked out faster than I could say get her out," someone else said.
But not everyone was convinced the mother-of-the-groom did anything wrong by wearing the dress.
"Tbh we don’t know if it was okayed by the bride or it was the colour scheme or what not! But still yikes," one said.
Another agreed: "That looks light blue or light grey to me anyway."
