I turned my side hustle into a multi-million pound business after coming up with a simple idea
A MUM revealed how she built a multi-million pound business from a side hustle after coming up with a simple idea.
Oli Atanasovska, from Australia, is the founder of The Night Owl which sells portable breast pumps.
After daydreaming about the possibility of having a hands-free pump that would save her time throughout the day, she finally decided to invent one of her own.
She admitted that she had come across similar products online, but the waiting times were exceptionally long and there was a lot of uncertainty around the quality of the pumps.

Oli used her business knowledge following her university degree to get the idea up and running and even worked during the early hours of the morning while her baby slept.
But it wasn't an easy ride for the mum-of-one as she had fears the side hustle wouldn't take off.
Instead of investing money into the business, she relied on pre-orders to get it off the ground.
Oli said that knowing her idea could help thousands of mums who found themselves struggling in similar situations pushed her to follow through - and she had no idea what was to come.
The Night Owl was launched at the end of 2021 and sold out within 28 hours of Oli releasing the product.
Her house was left overflowing with orders as boxes took up her home office and living room space.
Oli's business was such a success, she made over £2 million in the first four months after launching.
As The Night Owl continued to grow, the mum-of-one once saw over £21,000 made in just 24 hours on their highest sales day.
But Oli soon faced another battle - despite her immense success.
"I was learning how to be a mum and push myself into extra gear to grow the business and help it reach its potential," she added
"The reality is that success doesn't come without sacrifice, I spend a lot of time working when I could be with my family instead.
"My favourite part is being able to create a brand for mums and knowing I'm making a difference."
Oli said many happy mums have reached out to her to give their thanks for "making their lives easier" which makes the exhausting workload worth it.
And the entrepreneur is now expecting baby number two as he continues to grow her handy business.
It comes after a mum-of-two revealed how her side hustle makes her £4,000 a month and lets her stay at home with the kids.
Another mum told how she earns an extra £500 a month with a 15-minute side gig which she does while her son is napping.
