Christine Lampard, Charlotte Hawkins & Kate Lawler amongst the kind celeb mums backing our Baby, Bank On Us campaign
CHRISTINE Lampard, Charlotte Hawkins and Kate Lawler have passionately backed our new Baby, Bank On Us campaign, aimed at supporting parents struggling during the cost-of-living crisis.
They are joined by a host of other generous celebrity mums including Kimberly Wyatt, Charlotte Crosby, Alexandra Burke, Jessica Wright, Olivia Bowen, Jorgie Porter and Charlotte Dawson, who are all urging readers to donate money, supplies or their time to their local baby bank.
The campaign, in partnership with Save The Children, Little Village and more than 200 baby banks across the UK, will provide essentials for young children whose parents cannot make ends meet.
TV presenter Christine Lampard, 44, a mum-of-two, told Fabulous: “The last few years have been tough and struggling families need your support now more than ever. It's devastating to think that some mums can't afford essential clothing items, basic hygiene products and toys for their children. I urge everyone who can to donate to their local baby bank.”
While Good Morning Britain host Charlotte Hawkins, 48, who has an eight-year-old daughter, said: “The cost-of-living crisis has put added pressure on parents who are already struggling. I'd kept some of my daughter Ella-Rose's old clothes and toys - but we've now decided to give them to a family in need. We’re happy knowing they will be going to a home where other children can get use out of them, and hopefully it will help make a difference.”
Last year, over four million children in the UK were living in poverty and 800,000 lived in a home that used a food or baby bank. It’s a statistic that’s left our celebrities “heartbroken” and dedicated to “make a difference” to all in need.

Mum-of-one Kate Lawler, 43, backed our initiative and said: “I've donated some of Noa's old clothes, toys and bedding to Little Village. We really hope they can help a family in need. I'm sending lots of love and hope to any parents out there who are struggling at the moment.”

Alexandra Burke, 34, who welcomed her first child last June, said: “It’s heartbreaking to hear that some parents can’t afford basic hygiene products. That’s why I back Fabulous’ campaign.”
There are over 200 self-funded baby banks in the UK which offer essential items for kids up to five years old, absolutely free - and they need our help to keep their doors open.
From shops to community centres, warehouse units and even people’s living rooms, families in poverty are invited to take anything they need from nappies and wipes to clothes, bedding, cots, blankets and books.

Meanwhile, reality star Charlotte Crosby, 33, who has a daughter, said: “Alba Jean is my entire world but becoming a mum is full of challenges. I want to support those mothers in need and make sure they have everything they need to raise happy, healthy kids. Your donations and support can change lives.”
TOWIE star Jessica Wright, 37, who has a son, told us: "I am proud to support Fabulous' Baby, Bank On Us campaign. I have donated some of Presley's clothes to Little Village and urge others to do the same. It will mean the world to a mum in need."
What are baby banks?
- Baby banks provide essential items for babies and young children whose parents are living in poverty – including nappies, wipes, clothing, bedding, Moses baskets, cots, blankets, toys and books.
- There are over 200 baby banks in the UK, and they run out of shops, community centres, warehouse units and even people’s living rooms and garages.
- Last year 4.2 million children in the UK were living in poverty and 800,000 children lived in a household that used a food or baby bank.
Mum-of-one and Love Island star Olivia Bowen, 29, said: "Becoming a mum is incredibly challenging, even when you have a safe home and a strong support network. The thought of kids having no clothes, shoes, toys or somewhere safe to sleep breaks my heart. The stress and worry these mums must be under is awful. We must help them and that's why I'm supporting the Fabulous campaign."
Actress Jorgie Porter, 35, who has a son: added: "Little people come with a lot of stuff but sadly they grow out of it very quickly. It makes perfect sense to donate the clothes and toys you no longer need to this amazing cause to support families under financial pressure. It's a difficult time for many families right now, especially those with young children."
Meanwhile, mum-of-one Charlotte Dawson, 30, who is currently pregnant, said: "Motherhood is hard and we should support each other whenever we can. Baby banks not only help mums with much-needed essentials like clothes and toys but also provide a community so they feel less alone."
