Brits lose their sex drive as average adult gets passionate less than once a week
BRITS have lost their sex drive and are enjoying fewer bonks than they did in previous years, a survey has found.
The typical adult is now getting passionate 21 times a year less than two years ago — and having sex less than once a week, it shows.
In 2020/21, we were typically having a romp 68 times a year — working out at an average of 1.3 a week.
That dropped to 57 times in 2021/22 and an average of 1.1 a week.
That has now dropped to getting frisky only 47 times a year — a weekly average of just 0.9.
Dad-of-two Alan Watkins, 34, of Watford, Herts, said: “We got married in 2019 and it was sex morning, noon and night, but I can count how often we’ve have sex in the past year on two hands.

“It does get you down sometimes, but I’m just as bad as my wife - we’re both just so knackered all the time.”
Analysts from Nature & Bloom, which carried out the poll, also found people were going online for help to liven things up in the bedroom.
They said Google searches for “dead bedroom” had rocketed 223 per cent in the past year.
The term is used for couples who are going through a drawn out lull in sexual activity.

A Nature & Bloom spokesman said: “It suggests a lot of Brits are frustrated by a lack of sexual intimacy.
“The informal term refers to when couples experience a permanent or temporary lull in their sex lives, which can mean having less sex than normal, intentionally avoiding sexual contact, or feeling less pleasure than usual.”
