One savvy homeowner named Craig Orchard has told how he's planning to give his outdoor haven a new lease of life thanks to his 10p bargain buys from the high-street store.

Taking to Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, he shared several snaps of the £1.25 'grow-your-own strawberry plants' he nabbed in the sale for just 10p each.

The savvy shopper penned: "Wilko always worth a look at any cheap plants being sold off cheap.

"Got 18 strawberry plants - 10p each yes there not perfect but a good drink and some sun.

"I'm sure I can pull these round and £1.80 for 18 is better than £1.25 each."

"I think I'm happy for the 10p a plant deal - kids will love planning these and seeing if can get anything from them this year anything is a bonus, even the good Bare Roots plants were three plants for £2.50."

The post has since been flooded with likes and comments, with many commending Craig on his bargain buys.

"Always pick up unwatched plants cheap," noted one.

A second penned: "Great buy - I always buy reduced plants with a bit of love they will come good again!"
