Kim Kardashian ‘exudes confidence’ while ‘puppy dog’ Pete Davidson looks on at Met Gala reunion, expert says

"In these photos, Usher seems to be getting most of the attention from Kim.

"Pete clearly pulls for her attention and his head tilt and widened eye expression suggests he’s keen to get it and retain it.

"But while Usher looks charming, he's not flirtatious with Kim.

"Pete on the other hand looks keen to rebuild his friendship status with Kim.

"His body language makes him look as though he’s in full suck-up mode.

"Pete leans in towards Kim with his signature goofy, irresistible grin and emphatic eye contact.

"Pete's attention-seeking signals suggest ‘look at me, not him’."

Kim split with the SNL star in August after nine months of dating.

Interestingly, the pair's Met meetup came after Kim cried about the split during a new trailer for the third season of The Kardashians.

In the clip, the reality star admitted in the clip: "I'm having such a hard day today!"

Since separating, Kim appears to have remained single.

Pete on the other hand went on to date a string of high-profile celebs including Emily Ratajowski and his current squeeze, actress Chase Sui Wonders.

Ironically, after Kim and Pete had shared their first kiss in October 2021, they made their red carpet appearance at last year's Met Gala.

It was the same night that Kardashian wore her iconic Marilyn Monroe dress.

";This time around, things are so different for Kim," added Judi.

"The confidence signals are all Kim’s, despite her nude dress being draped with movement-restricting pearls.

"As a singleton, having flattering attention from two sort-of-A-list males she seems to conduct the conversation.

"Her hand gestures are used in a power move.

"She appears to be enjoying what looks like an in-depth chat with Usher as her ex-Pete hovers keenly alongside.

"Pete’s drink is held at the partial-barrier, social invitation level of the lower chest.

"When Kim returns his gaze, his eye expression turns more serious.

"Pete shows a meaningful, rounded eye shape as his head tilts closer to hers.

"Pete looks desperately, puppy-like delighted to see Kim.

"Her response might be less keen as her hand is held up in what looks like this clear ‘stop’ gesture."

Usher, 44, on the other hand, appears to have become a firmer fixture in Kim’s life over the past few weeks.

While he attended the New York Fashion event with British/Jamaican designer Bianca Saunders, he'd also seen Kim just recently.

As the father of four performed on stage at his concert in Las Vegas, Kim has watched him twice at the Park MGM Hotel.

She first rocked up at the Grammy Award winner's show alongside her hairstylist, Chris Appleton, and his husband, Lukas Gage.

The following weekend, the mom of four was joined at the My Way show by her sister Khloe and Kimora Lee Simmons.

"Having only just fangirled Usher a few days before, these two might have had more to chat about at the Met Gala," said Judi.

"Kim was seen in Vegas throwing her arms into the air as Usher serenaded her on the balcony during his gig.

"Then at the Met Gala, Usher’s smile oozes polite charm here while Kim’s head tilt suggests active listening.

"When Kim went to see Usher with Khloe, her body language gave off pure hen night vibes.

"Kim’s on camera doing close-up shots of the night.

"Kim was also doing a little bit of attention-seeking from Usher herself.

"At one point she leans towards him and waves her arms in the air to get his attention like any other fan in the audience.

"Although the Vegas show was a different event to the Met Gala, Kim does seem to like Usher's attention."
