She told the : "Get help. As soon as you notice that there might be a problem, ask for help."

Some breeds, like huskies and beagles, are especially hard for owners. to train.

Wendy said: "It can be very frustrating when your dog is lunging and barking at another dog as an owner.

"Therefore that owner tells their dog off verbally or whatever.

"That actually only makes the dog's reaction to the thing even worse, because now the dog is a bit frightened of the owner when it comes across that thing."

The dog trainer said that many of her clients are owners whose relationships with their pooch has worsened because they have relied on verbal warnings.

Wendy trains misbehaving dogs Woodgreens' HQ, where Channel 4 hit The Dog House is filmed.

She also runs online classes teaching owners all the things they need about how to keep their dog happy and understand what they are saying.

It comes after another dog trainer revealed the reason why your puppy is so naughty - and how to make it behave.

Canine experts have also revealed that you've been speaking to your dog all wrong - and that there's one voice you shouldn't use when talking to your pooch.
