Gen Z singles are getting ready for dates by having full body waxes and pumping iron

NEARLY half of young singles on a first date try to get things running smoothly by having a full body wax or shave first.

And a quarter buy new underwear or ­lingerie for the occasion, a survey shows.

The poll found 46 per cent of Gen Z romantics, aged 18 to 24, shaved or waxed their whole body to feel at their best and in case they get lucky.

A third delete their online history or social media messages to hide embarrassing content.

And a quarter say they give themselves a pep talk in the mirror.

An optimistic one in seven said they fancied their chances so much they took their tooth brush, found.

Global brand director Romy Miller said: “A little bit of preparation can go a long way and that is a message Gen Z seem to have taken to heart.”
