FAKE tan is hard to perfect at the best of times, especially when it comes to tanning your hands.
We've all been there when it comes to patchy hands, but how can we remove it?

Exfoliating
Exfoliating seems like the most obvious idea when it comes to removing fake tan but it can take some time.
However, when trying to get between your fingers, it is idea for sorting out those patchy areas.
Grab yourself a pair of exfoliating mitts and get scrubbing.

Sugar and lemon juice
Similar to exfoliating, mix some lemon juice and sugar together to create a gritty consistency.
The lemon juice works to dissolve the tan while the sugar scrubs any excess away.
Rub over the patchy area and rinse.
Bath oil
Bath oil is a great way to remove your unwanted tan.
Simply get some bath oil in your hands and start rubbing them together before washing it off and revealing your lovely even tan.
If you are wanting to remove all of your tan, put some oil in your bath and relax while it washes away.
Glycolic acid
Glycolic acid works to separate false tanner from the skin.
Pop some Glycolic acid onto some face wipes and wipe the parts of your hands where you want to remove the tan.
Keep going until you have removed as much of the tan as you want.
Lemon juice
Lemon juice isn't recommended to be used all over your body, due to the amount of lemons you want need to use.
However, when needing to remove from a small area such as your hands, it's ideal.
Put some juice on a cotton pad and wipe over the are of tan you want to remove.
Toothpaste
Toothpaste is great for removing that pesky fake tan.
Grab some whitening toothpaste and rub between your fingers before leaving for 20 minutes.
Rinse once the time is up and it should lighten the patchy tan.
Baking soda
Simply mix two tablespoons of baking soda with some water to create a paste.
Rub the paste all over the area of fake tanner you want to remove and leave for 5-10 minutes.
Once the time is up wash with warm water.
Nail polish remover
While using nail polish remover on large areas isn't recommended, if you are careful on a small patch it shouldn't damage your skin.
The acetone in the remover is what breaks down the colour in the fake tan.
Get some nail polish remover and gently wipe over the small area before rinsing with water.
White vinegar
The acid in the vinegar can help break down your fake tan.

This method is good for lightening dark patches of tan rather than being used on a large area.
Wipe over your hands and wash off with warm water.
