I named my baby after my favourite food, no one can believe it’s real and everyone says she’ll be bullied but I love it
A NEW mum has shared her very unusual name for her daughter - and it’s really divided opinion.
Taking to Facebook the woman’s mum shared a snap of her new granddaughter where she revealed the baby was named Avocado, although the spelling has been changed to Avacado.
She shared a second photo of her grandson and Avocado’s older brother, who is named Nicholas.
Captioning the snap she wrote: “It’s official my daughter gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.
“Now their family is complete. Welcome baby Avacuddo (sic). Nicholas now has a baby sister.”
The post has since been shared on Reddit where it has left fellow parents baffled by the unusual choice in name with many struggling to believe it’s real.
“What the actual f***”, one wrote, while another simply added, “I need this to be fake.”
Meanwhile others were more bothered by the inconsistent spelling.
Commenting on the post, one wrote: “No one in that family knows how to spell Avocado, it seems.”
“Trying to work out whether it's better or worse that they spelt it wrong,” added another.
Meanwhile a third added: “Just name her Ava or something. Sheesh!”
Many were concerned that Avacado would become a victim of bullying.
“I'm not even worried about school, Nicholas gonna make her life hell before any bully,” one wrote.
