PRINCE Harry "hurt" Queen Camilla after he branded her a "villain" and "dangerous" in his book Spare, a close friend has revealed.
In the bombshell memoir, Harry, 38, claimed he and brother William begged Charles, 74, not to marry Camilla.
The royal said they both had fears she would be a "wicked stepmother".
In the book, which came out earlier this year, Harry also alleged the soon-to-be Queen leaked stories to the press, ultimately sacrificing him and to help boost her reputation.
In Spare, Harry wrote: "I have complex feelings about gaining a step-parent who I thought had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar."
A close friend of Camilla's has now publicly spoken out as the Royal Family continue to be bashed by Harry and wife Meghan.

Lady Lansdowne, 68, who is godmother to Camilla’s daughter Laura Lopes, said the Queen was upset by her step-son’s controversial book.
She added: “Of course it bothers her, of course it hurts.
“But she doesn’t let it get to her.
"Her philosophy is always, ‘Don’t make a thing of it and it will settle down — least said, soonest mended.’”

The pal added how Camilla was vilified in the 90s before marrying Charles - which didn't help her relationship with the boys.
An aide also told The : “It was not stamping of feet or gnashing of teeth, it was much more of an eye-roll response.”
It comes after those in Camilla's close circle say she was never "that bothered" by the title and "never in a million years" thought she would be Queen.
Camilla and Harry are due to see each other for the first time next month since the book was released.
The Duke of Sussex will travel alone to the King's Coronation on May 6.
The royal will jet 5,000 miles for the historic event while Meghan stays in the US with children Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1.
Their decision is understood to be largely down to the fact the ceremony falls on son Archie's fourth birthday.
Buckingham Palace has been contacted for a comment.
