Mum’s massive lunchbox fail leaves parents in hysterics as her son’s meal looks more like something out of a horror film

A MUM who tried to impress her kid with a fun snack was shocked to see what it looked like by the time in got to her son's lunch time.

Using a Baby Bell cheese and a sweat moustache, the woman formed a smiley emoji-like character.

But by the time her son got to open his lunchbox he was greeted with something very different.

Instead of the friendly smiley face, the snack looked like something out of a horror film.

Unsurprisingly, her son wasn't impressed with the grub and didn't take a single bit .

It turns out the black food colouring in the moustache lolly seeped through the cheese, leaving the snack looking a bit worse for wear.

The mum shared a a picture of what the lunchbox looked like before the dye ruined her creation, alongside what it looked like when her son brought it back home.

In the Facebook post she said she was excited to see her son's reaction to the treat when she picked him up from school

Her son asked what the snack was "even supposed to be," clearly confused why she was so excited about the horrific grub.

It all made sense when the mum saw what happened.

"Note to self: Put juicy fruit in separate compartment," she wrote.

Other parents found the gaffe hilarious and thought the food looked "threatening and ominous."

One commented: "That is the most terrifying thing I've ever seen."

And a second agreed: "Looks like a crime scene."

"Oh my god, just imagining the faces of your children," another said.

"You guys are gonna be talking about this for years to come haha," someone else commented.
