I work in a hospital & I’ve heard names so bad I thought people were joking… no one should name their newborn after food
PARENTS often go for more unique options when naming their newborn, but some are definitely more interesting than others.
If there's on person who knows about weird baby names it's hospital worker Jennifer, who admitted some of the were so bad she thought people were joking.
Posting on Facebook, she explained throughout her hospital career she saw "some atrocious names," but it wasn't until she moved to a big city they got truly bizarre.
Having grown up in a rural area, most people had fairly normal names, but that began to change as she got older and more people want their kids to stand out from the crowd.
"As names started getting stranger I figured it was the younger generations just trying to be unique," she explained.
By the time Jennifer worked the city she confessed she "honestly thought some of the names coming in on labels were fake, created by co-workers jokingly."

One couple even named their newborn baby 'Gherkin' much to the hospital worker's surprise.
"There were so many horribly spelled mainstream names as well. And lots of combining a bunch of names like Amber-Lynn-Leigh-Son or Rylee-Ann-Grace-Lyn or Mackenzerleighton.
"I swear people were just trying to one-up one another," she wrote in the post.

And it wasn't just the babies who had unique names, some of the adults the worker encountered stood out from the crowd too.
Some of them, like SynnAmen, Trumpeter and Nowan Alweighs Wynn, were so bad she was convinced people were kidding.
Other Facebook users couldn't believe anyone would ever give their children such strange names.
One commented: "GHERKIN?? Who named their kid after a freakin pickle???
A second said: "I am a teacher at a large public high school and I have actually taught a lot of girls named Dymond, Diamond, and D’ymund."
And another joked: "Naming my next pet D’Azzlyn Diamyn and calling them Azz for short
