Aless died aged just 27 from cancer in May 2020 after a two year battle with the disease.

The digital marketing CEO froze his sperm before undergoing chemotherapy in hope he would one day become a dad.

According to his mother, it was still his “last wish to bring a child into the world”.

Ana said: “The only thing that has allowed me to continue living every day, every second, is to fulfil the mission of bringing Aless’ daughter into the world.

“When she grows up I will tell her that her father was a hero, so that she knows who she is and how proud she should be of him.”

The grieving mum claimed that Aless reminded her of his dream to become a dad the week he died.

Ana put the wheels in motion for the conception of his firstborn shortly after his death.

Aless' samples were preserved in the US and Ana chose a surrogate based in the country due to surrogacy being forbidden in her native country of Spain.

The new grandmother found out that her son’s child was on the way in August and that she was a girl in December.

Little Anita was born March 20 in a Miami hospital and is legally Ana’s daughter.

The famous nan said: “I’m happy!

“Surrounded by diapers, bottles, all pink, full of bows and smelling like perfume, how wonderful!

“Also, Aless Lequio loved babies and would go crazy every time he saw one.

“He told me: ‘I am going to call my first daughter Ana, like you, mommy.’”

The baby is legally called Ana Sandra Lequio Obregón but affectionately called Anita by her family.

Ana assured that the tot will never want anything by way of affection or money because she “worked 40 years” to provide for her offspring.

The grandmother hasn’t ruled out bringing more of her son’s children into the world via surrogate.

She revealed that he wanted five children and she wouldn’t be opposed to giving little Anita a brother.

The socialite has found herself in the centre of a national media storm in Spain after revealing her use of surrogacy.

In Spain, it is currently illegal to use surrogates.
