EGGSTREME?

I’m spending £8K on an Easter bonanza for my kids & got my fiance a £310k Lamborghini – our chef will cook a £5K feast

WHEN it comes to celebrating Easter, no one does it quite like Britain’s first gay dads, Tony and Barrie Drewitt-Barlow.

Barrie, 52, who has seven children via surrogacy, has revealed he is spending a whopping £8,000 on Easter eggs for his kids and is gifting fiance Scott Hutchinson a £310,000 Lamborghini.

Millionaire Barrie in 2019, but they still share a home in Florida, along with Scott, 27, and Tony’s partner Brent, so they can co-parent their family.

Speaking to Fabulous, Barrie, who is worth an estimated £175million from investments and health companies, opened up about his extravagant plans.

He said: “We spend about £8,000 pounds on Easter, for chocolate and the hunt.

“The biggest expense for us is the lunch we put on for the family which will take up a good £5,000 of the total.

“We will be having a huge banquet for Easter Sunday, which this year will be from our beach house in Miami and we will fly out on good Friday.”

Barrie revealed that the day usually starts with a family walk along the beach in Miami before they head back for a delicious breakfast.

He continued: “The rest of the family will start arriving from all over the world, London, LA, Thailand and then the fun starts.

“The private chef and his staff will be preparing tables and food and making everything look amazing.”

Each child will receive six Easter eggs each, and Barrie revealed that eldest kids Saffron and Aspen, 22, will get the Fortnum and Mason Easter Hamper worth £140 each.

Barrie’s partner Scott is in for the biggest treat this year, as he is set to receive a very expensive car.

Barrie revealed: “I bought only Scott a present this year, I was good.

“I have bought him a white Lamborghini Urus for £310,000.”

Their two-year-old Valentina will be getting “lots of clothes though, including Versace and Gucci.”

Despite the lavish gifts and celebrations, Barrie insists the best part of the Easter weekend is spending time together.

He said: “What Easter means to me is that it’s a day to get together with my family and enjoy each other’s company and time.

“This year I am taking the worldwide economic issue into perspective and I’m purposely NOT going to go mad with the children.

“I want to try to teach the children the value of things more now.”

Barrie and ex-husband Tony, 57, looked at adoption with Essex County Council, but went on to make history in 1999, after fathering twins Saffron and Aspen with a surrogate mum in California.

They became the first British same-sex couple to be legally recognised as parents.

They went on to have son Orlando, 18, followed by 11-year-old twins Jasper and Dallas. Barrie also has son Colin, who is now in his thirties, from a previous relationship.

Sadly, Barrie and Tony split after growing apart, but they still remain committed to one another.

Tony was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2006. They started sleeping in separate bedrooms and their relationship became platonic.

The pair agreed to amicably split, but have continued co-habiting in their 10-bedroom mansion and are supportive of each other’s relationships.

Bisexual Scott previously for several months, while working as his assistant.

Scott became his ‘shoulder to cry on’ when Tony was in hospital during treatment in 2018.

Having got his daughter’s blessing, Barrie proposed to Scott on a motor yacht near the Croatian island Hvar in August 2020, while the pair were on holiday with Saffron.

“For the past few years Scott has been under a lot of criticism for being with me,” Barrie says.

“People have assumed that he is with me because of the money and that he couldn’t in any way be with me for anything else.

“But we are together because we love each other and he has always wanted to be able to stand on his own two feet.

“This is his way of showing that he can do his own thing.”

Saffron is expecting a baby this year, and Barrie revealed they can’t wait to spoil her.

He said: “I have to admit that we all can’t stop buying for Saffron’s little girl.

“We are all excited.

“She will be the most spoiled little girl in the world, she has a wardrobe full of Gucci, Burberry, Versace, Stella McCartney and Dior already.

“So many that she couldn’t possibly even wear them all in the time frame for the age groups bought.”

Previously Barrie opened up about how his family celebrate Christmas and said they had an extraordinary £4million blowout in 2022.

It included splashing more than a million quid on his and fiance Scott’s baby Romeo, who was treated to a £475,000 Rolls Royce Cullinan to take him to nursery.

He also got a £50,000 bracelet, a wardrobe of designer clothes and a £600,000 home in Manchester, where Barrie is originally from.

Little Valentina received her very own £50,000 playground built for her at the new Grand Designs style £6million mansion Barrie and Scott are building in Essex.
