Inside wildest royal stag and hen dos – from £12k bar tab to dressing up as a yellow chicken and even getting arrested
MOST of us have been to a hen or stag do that gets out of hand, and even royals have been known to let their hair down for the occasion.
Just take Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, who revealed this week that she and Princess Diana were actually arrested at her bash.
The pair decided to dress up as policewomen for the festivities, which led to actual law enforcement arresting them for impersonating as officers - until they realised who they were.
Speaking on The Kelly Clarkson Show Fergie said: “It was extraordinary, because we went to a nightclub, of course, you go to a nightclub with the Princess of Wales.
“We sat down, and the waiter came up to us and said, ‘Excuse me, this is a members club. It’s for fun, and we don’t serve police officers here."
We take a closer look at what other members of the Royal Family got up to on their 'last night of freedom'...

Mike Tindall
I'm A Celeb star Mike Tindall is known for being one of the most down to earth members of the Firm.
And he recently admitted the rest of the family found his heavily reported party in Florida rather amusing, after he was pictured enjoying extended drinking sessions dressed in various funny outfits.
In one swanky bar the 11-strong group even racked up a £12,000 bar tab including ten bottles of tequila and a bottle of Dom Perignon Rose costing over £800.
At one point Mike could also be seen downing a carafe of red wine.

Speaking on a JOE UK podcast, Mike said: "I got ripped – they got stuck into me after I got back from my stag do when it was the Duke's 90th.
"All of them. It was in the papers. 'Had a good time did you?'."
Prince Harry
He has settled down in recent years but predictably father-of-two Prince Harry still has a tale or two from his bash.
Recalling the night in his very revealing memoir Spare, Harry volunteered to dress as 'giant yellow feathered chicken' so his brother William and the rest of the party could shoot fireworks at him.
Harry also recalled the venue was kitted out with giant boxing gloves, Lord of the Rings-style bows and arrows, and a mechanical bull.
Zara Tindall
Not to be outdone by her party-loving hubby, Zara also travelled abroad for her own pre-wedding celebrations.
She enjoyed a hen party in Portugal, and in true hen tradition was pictured wearing a pink tutu and wig as she celebrated with a group of 19 friends at the CampoReal Golf Resort and Spa.
The group were reported to have enjoyed cocktails, sangria and wine and played drinking games before relaxing on a luxury yacht.
Sky Sports presenters Kirsty Gallacher, Natalie Pinkham and Di Dougherty were guests, as was Zara's sister-in-law Autumn Phillips.
Kate Middleton
She was known for enjoying a night out at uni, and in her heyday she was frequently pictured glammed up at some of London's top bars and clubs.
However, the Princess of Wales Kate Middleton had a low-key hen do at a pal's house with her close friends and sister Pippa.
That's not to say the group didn't let their hair down, however, and Kate was said to have sung like a pop star and dressed up in a bodysuit impersonating Cheryl during the soiree.
She sang Fight For This Love, and learnt the dance routine too.
Prince William
When their relationship was on slightly better terms, Prince Harry and best pal Guy Pelly were said to have organised Prince William's stag party with "military precision".
The location was reportedly Hartland Abbey, and the groom was apparently made to don a chest wig and hairpiece.
The close-knit group were sworn to secrecy, adopting the motto 'what goes on tour, stays on tour'.
Meghan Markle
In an incredibly classy and somewhat restrained move, Meghan Markle reportedly held her hen do at luxury countryside spa retreat Soho Farmhouse, located in in the Oxfordshire countryside.
Though it's not been confirmed by either Kensington Palace or Soho Farmhouse, rumours are rife that it's where she took friends for some five-star pampering.
A social media ban was enforced and it was said they went to bed early after relaxing.
Pippa Middleton
No expense was spared for Kate's sister Pippa's hen, which the Duchess is reported to have helped organise, at Meribel in the French Alps.
A source told The Sun: "Pippa loves skiing so it was her first choice for a hen weekend.
"They stayed in a really exclusive catered chalet with maids and chef, who ensured that they were totally spoilt.
