JOE Wicks , the author of Lean In 15, is sharing his fitness secrets with The Sun to help you get into shape.
His 15 minute workouts will have you sweating your way to a six-pack, and you'll lose pounds thanks to his low-fat and tasty 15-minute meals.
Joe says that he hates fad diets and that his plan is about making healthy choices
Joe praises high-intensity interval training as a great way to improve your fitness.
His 20-minute workout is suitable for everyone . You can do it at home and there’s no equipment needed.
His program involves working hard for 30 seconds, followed by 30 seconds of rest for just 15 minutes.
The warm up
It is important to do a short warm-up to get your heart going.
Joe recommends:
- Jogging on the spot to elevate your heart rate
- Star Jumps
- Toe Touches
- Lunges
The workout
Lunge Jump
Lunge with one leg forward, then jump and swap legs
Do this as fast as you can for 30 seconds.
Remember to keep your back straight and get low!
Plank
Great for your upper body and your core.
Get in the press up position and alternate between a plank with straight arms and a plank on your elbows.
And move across the matt as you do it.
Continue for 30 seconds and rest for 30 seconds.
Burpee with a sidewards jump
Joe does a burpee but with a twist - when he jumps up, he jumps to the side.
He jumps to left and right for 30 seconds. Do this quickly to get your heart rate up
Mountain climber
Get into the press up position bring one knee up to your chest, and then the other.
Do it really fast!
