Woman horrified after mum whips out a potty in a restaurant and lets her toddler wee under a table

FOR many people, going out to dinner at a restaurant is a treat and you want to fully enjoy your experience.

However, one woman was left horrified during a recent visit after a mum “whipped out” a potty for her baby at the table.

The unnamed woman took to the to share how the woman set it up under their table as people were eating nearby.

She explained: "Went out for a meal last night and in the middle of it the table next to me whipped out a potty and sat a child on it under their table, the mum then stuck her napkin on top and waltzed off to the ladies to empty it.

"Firstly, this child was half naked in a crowded restaurant, and secondly - yuck, I didn't need to have that happen right next to where I was eating my dinner.

"I know kids need to go when they need to go but we were literally 10 steps from the toilets!”

The woman said she complained to the manager at the end of the meal - and after the family had left - and they “didn’t seem to care much” saying they were a “family-friendly” establishment.

The Netmums poster concluded her post asking if the mum setting up the potty in the restaurant was “unacceptable” or not.

Many people were quick to chime in, with many saying it was “dreadful” behaviour.

One said: “No need for that could of just walked them to toilet. That is disgusting."

Another added: "Dreadful. I was once in a restaurant and a woman started changing her baby's nappy on the table next to us.

"The staff asked her to stop and directed her to the changing area about 5 yards away, but she said 'I'm not changing my baby in a toilet!'

"They asked her to leave, and she was shouting that they wouldn't have dared kick her out if she'd been breastfeeding... Well, no... but I've no problem with a baby eating its dinner next to me while I eat mine... but I have no desire to have anyone, regardless of age, wiping their bottom next to me while I try to enjoy a plate of sweet and sour..."

A third wrote: "Absolutely disgusting... some people are just vile. But I don't see the point in complaining to management after the family has already left... what did you expect him to actually do? I'd have called out the family then and there."
