I had to tell my dad I took Prince Harry’s virginity after he wrote about it and said I slapped his bum…it was awkward
EMBARRASSED Sasha Walpole was forced to tell her father she took Prince Harry’s virginity after he put the romp in his book.
She let her mum Lyn, 65, know the day after it happened in 2001, while dad Tony, 71, had remained oblivious for 21 years.
Sasha, 40, who had boozy sex with the royal in a Wiltshire field, said: “I am in this situation because Harry has put it out there.”
Harry revealed in his book that a mystery “older woman” took his virginity in a field before she “smacked my rump and sent me off to graze”.
Sasha, now a married mother of two, never went public about the .
But the revelation in the royal’s memoir Spare set off a “ticking time bomb”.

Her phone started pinging with messages and jokes and she feared she would be exposed.
Sasha said: “I don’t understand why he went into such detail. He could have said that he lost his virginity and left it at that.
“He has done this to my privacy because I was going to keep my head down and not talk about it.
“If it wasn’t in the book none of this would be happening.”

She was left with no option but to discuss it with her parents, who she believed were both aware of what had happened.
Sasha, who is only a couple of years older than the royal, recalled: “The day after I had sex with Harry I was in the kitchen at home and told my mum but I didn’t give details. I think she was just like, ‘OK’. She trusted me, she knew I was on the Pill.
“I thought we told Dad too but now I realise he hadn’t listened because he didn’t want to hear about what his teenage daughter was doing.”
Sasha also rang her sister Jodie Mayhead the day after she took 16-year-old Harry’s virginity in a field behind the Vine Tree Inn in Norton, Wiltshire.
Accountant Jodie, now 42, recalled: “I can remember laughing about it. She didn’t go into detail other than it was drunken.
“I found it quite funny. It made no difference that it was Harry at all. He was just seen as one of the lads.”
The family never discussed the incident again. But that bombshell passage in Harry’s book sparked a worldwide guessing game of who took his virginity.
Sasha decided to speak out — before somebody did it for her — but first she needed her family’s approval.
She said: “So I rang dad. I was on the way to Morrisons to do the grocery shopping.
“At first we were talking about a job and then I said, ‘I just don’t know what to do about speaking out’. He didn’t react. Normally dad would give his advice.
“I was thinking, ‘I am sure he knows’. The next day I spoke to mum and said, ‘Does dad know?’. She said, ‘I think so’.
“She spoke to him and he was like, ‘I did not know’. He explained that he probably wasn’t listening because he didn’t want to know.”
But he was now forced to listen to - and read - the details.
Harry told in his book how she “treated me not unlike a young stallion. Quick ride, after which she’d smacked my rump and sent me off to graze”.
Sasha said: “It is awkward because of what Harry has written about me slapping his bum, really cringey. It flared up because of the way Harry has written it. That is why I am in this situation.
“Harry has put it out there. My parents’ concern is for my safety. They just want me to be OK.”
Sasha said her parents fully supported her decision to speak out in yesterday’s Sun on Sunday.
She revealed that she met Harry while working as a groom at his dad Charles’ Highgrove House home.
The pair became firm friends who would drink and dance together in pubs, occasionally with his older brother William too.
And one night, out celebrating Sasha’s 19th birthday, she told how a drunken kiss with Eton schoolboy Harry turned into sex.
She said the pair had downed ten shots of tequila, Baileys and sambuca before going outside and climbing a three-bar fence to the field behind.
She said: “The sex was about five minutes”, adding: “It was literally wham-bam between two friends.”
Harry used to go to polo games with Sasha and was a regular at the Vine Tree Inn. The night before he lost his virginity he posed for a snap there with the landlady and two of Sasha’s pals, Lizzie and Simon.
Harry would ping her texts, signed off as “H” — the letter Sasha had him saved as in her mobile.
With phone signal poor in the countryside, he would ring the landline at the family’s three-bed semi in the Gloucestershire village of Acton Turville, near Badminton.
Sasha laughed: “I remember the first time Harry rang our landline. Mum answered the phone in the hall and said, ‘Harry’s on the phone’. Afterwards she asked, ‘Was that Harry, Harry?’. I said, ‘Yes’. I remember her saying, ‘Oh, how funny’.”
Sasha would head to the second landline in her parents’ bedroom for privacy. She said: “It depended what we were chatting about as to how long we were on.
"It would be bits and bobs, nothing important, mates’ banter, horse talk, making plans mostly. I wasn’t excited to hear from him, it was just a friend phoning. He was Harry to me.”
The calls were so frequent Jodie would tell her to get off the phone because she was waiting for a call.
But since that drunken night there has been no contact between Sasha and Harry, now 38 and living in Montecito, California with wife Meghan, 41, and their two kids.
Sasha, who has two young daughters of her own, said: “I don’t have any regrets about not texting him.
"I don’t think there was anything to be gained from that. Our lives have gone in different directions but I wish him all the best.”

But she added: “If Harry contacted me I would say, ‘Let’s go for a drink for old time’s sake. But not in The Vine Tree!’ We could catch up on the last 21 years.
“I would like to laugh with him about that mad night.”
