I’m a savvy mum raising £23,000 from STRANGERS to help me build dream home – but trolls are telling me to ‘get a job’
A MUM has been told to "get a job" after asking strangers to give her £23,000 so she can build her "dream home".
Kara-Louise Hoppo - who says she is part of a "hippy family" - has been branded "totally shameless" after setting up a fundraising page to ask for cash.
The mum-of-four, from Darwin, Australia, wants $40,000 (£23,000) to be handed over to fund two water-proofed demountable campers.
Kara-Louise, who is training to become a "fully qualified energy healer", says the connected buildings are fitted with electric connections, a small kitchen and a bathroom.
She says she wants to use the cash to "set up a permanent home on a friend's block which we will either rent cheap or be able to stay by contributing with help on the block".
Kara-Louise says the campers are being sold for $20,000 (£11,000) and needs the rest of the money to transport them and set them up.

She says her family has had to move from where they were housed over "health and safety reasons".
Kara-Louise wrote on her GoFundMe page: "I have been a stay at home mum for many years because I believe in the importance of staying at home and nurturing connections with our children, especially in the first years, wherever possible.
"While I will admit that it was often the harder path, I want to shamelessly say that I feel I have still been a positive and active contributor to society regardless. We try to spread love and positivity everywhere we go."
Her fundraiser was shared by local news outlet The Mango Inquirer and many slammed the mum for asking for money.

A second commented: "There are people out there who genuinely need and deserve help, not asking for free rides. Help them instead.
Another said her pitch was "totally shameless".
So far, $3,451 (£1,955) has been donated by 21 people.
